Sweet Satisfaction...

Post » Thu Nov 04, 2010 11:16 pm

What are some of the most satisfying moments for you guys when playing TES games? What are some satisfying moments you hope, or can't wait to feel once Skyrim come out?

Some of the most satisfying moments I've had in TES involve: Completing long quest chains (like guilds). The awesomely cautious feeling I get whenever I first enter a dungeon/cave. Getting armor/weapons that are strong and I think look good on my character.

One moment of satisfaction I'm dying to feel is when I take on my first dragon one-on-one. Also, you cant beat the feeling of opening the game for the first time, or customizing your first character.

- Downloading a bunch of mods (until I got permanently IP-banned from the mod site for calling a mod disgusting)

- The Adoring Fan

- Jumping off Dive Rock

- Jumping off Dive Rock with a mod that gives me Boots of Blinding Speed

- Jumping off Dive Rock with a mod that gives me Boots of Blinding Speed and adds a long board extension to Dive Rock

- Taking a whole day to figure out how to download Daggerfall

- Quest glitching in Daggerfall that didn't allow me to progress through the game

- Falling through the world

And a whole bunch of other stuff!

I can relate to these! Oh, but the moment I got Daggerfall to work correctly was awesome! :celebration:

Yeah. Daggerfall was really cool. I actually liked the graphics! Controls were really hard...until I assigned the the correct slots.

- Spending 1+ hour(s) getting the controls in Daggerfall to be slightly normal

- Finding the giant mudcrab

- Solving Vivec's sewer puzzle (after like a month)

And the list goes on and on. I don't remember a single moment where I didn't enjoy the game!

Most satisfying moment brought about by a TES game for me was the first time I installed and tried Nehrim.

But as far as actual experiences go in TES games themselves... I would say simply setting foot in Morrowind for the first time and stepping out of the sewers in Oblivion for the first time.

Sticking to what you hope to have happen in Skyrim would be the best idea. Otherwise, if the discussion is on the other games, this will get moved to the ES series discussion.

With that in mind, I think making my first finishing move will be pretty satisfying. Oh, and also getting to dual wield whatever I want for the first time.

This is what's going to be fun in Skyrim:

- Everything!

More specifically...:

- Falling through the world

- Raiding towns

- Turning into a werewolf

- Being a werewolf

- Snow

- More snow

- Climbing over the mountains and try to reach Cryodil

- Picking my race (Argonian 100%)

- Looting an iron longsword

- Doing the tutorial

- Reading the tutorials

- Mods

- And a whole lot more!

I'll be pretty satisfied once I'm able to finally just look at the game, after months of speculation, and just see what is and isnt included. Then finally play it.
I also love looking at the map and rulebook.

...people look forward to snow? I don't understand you people.

At any rate, I do look forward to Skyrim, home of my favorate race. What I'm really looking forward to is that first moment when you get the first good look at the world. Oblivion and FO3 nailed them in the most amazing of fashion, and I can not wait for that moment in Skyrim.

When I discover something in the game that I've missed on all my other playthroughs.
Could be an item or a plot detail or a place.
