I pump a little Jet and Psycho when I'm ambushed and surrounded by 3 (legendary) radscorpions. If 1 sings you and injects poison, you can counteract that with stimpacks, if 2 or 3 get a change to sting you....you're gonna have a bad time keeping your health bar from plummeting, so slowing down time helps you not get stung. Power armor doen't offer any resistance to poison.

Other than that, Jet helps with asaultron dominators with their infinite damage laser that can kill you instantly no matter what armor you got.

I have never used jet or hardly any drugs at all...don't see the need.

I've only used psycho a couple of times, like the time I was attacking a raider camp and an alpha deathclaw and his friend showed up to the party.

I use all the basic drugs, Jet, Buffout, Psycho, Mentats, to make the upgraded versions, but I always forget to use them. It's not till everyone around me is dead I'm like....shoulda popped some Buffpsychojettats.

I haven't really used the drugs too much in my current playthrough, but have been planning on my next character the closer I get to finishing the game. I was already planning a more raider like character using chems and alcohol like there was no tomorow. Have her specialize in automatics and explosives, with just a touch of melee. Will have a low intelligence and Idiot Savant to reflect her drug and alcohol dependence. She will be a trashy, strung out blonde by the name of Courtney.

Maybe you should give it up?

Only keep Psycho-Jet on me and use it during the harder boss fights. Never really seen the need for it taking on general Raider or Mutant camps.

I prefer to shove a shishkabob in em but to each his own! I do love how each drug has it's own catchphrase too - Pop a Psycho and "FUUUUUCK YEEEEAH!!!"

Try popping a PsychoJet and a Jet Fuel on a really tough boss battle or camp full of dikes- you won't regret it.
