Sweet, Sweet Jet....

Post » Mon Jan 11, 2016 12:32 pm

Anyone else find themselves strolling around the Commonwealth with 100+ Jet (or Jet based drugs) ready for [censored] to pop off?

I have yet to run into any firefight that required more than 15 Jet (Mirelurk Queen duo) and have found that I prefer the game entirely in slow motion.. Am I addicted to Jet?

I stroll around with Jet because it sells great at vendors! I have basically built my settlements into fortresses by dealing drugs. How'd you like that you role-playing snobs!

Also with the Chemist perk(s) you can make them last a totally unreasonable amount of time which ca be fun.

I typically only use chems that boost my strength when I am overencumbered. Because who wants to drop junk from their inventory right?

Beats purified water on so many levels. It weighs 1/5 what purified water does, it is far more valuable, you don't have to wait a bunch of days to get more of it, and you gain xp for mass producing it yourself. People who only sell purified water have no vision!

Not to mention the two ingredients to make it - Fertilizer and Plastic - are EXTREMELY plentiful.

I don't know if you played Skyrim (you're on a Bethesda forum so prolly) but it reminds me of cranking out Daggers on the workbenches to make a little side dough and level up more easily once you start getting on up there 50+

Have only used Jet once when I barely escaped an exploding Assaultron. Was quite the Michael Bay moment. Besides that, haven't much use for it. I'm a Buffout guy myself being a hoarder and all. Though my recent discovery of Grilled Radstag has been a much better alternative. Don't find myself using chems as much as I used to in say New Vegas, where I was addicted to Mentats. Minty.

Still, its nice that there are some useful chem perks available in the game that allow these chem-reliant builds.

My character does the chemist thing and is immune to addiction. He keeps stocked in and regularly uses psycho jet. Who needs VATS?

I've never messed around with jet or buff. Maybe it would have helped if I took it early on in the game.

Used it once or twice, but it was awesome. Have plenty of it. More of a Mentats person.

Maybe drug dealing is a more satisfying way to make money. Hmm.

Super useful chems in this one! I love that radstag steak myself, Especially when you're elbow deep in a sunken tomb of a building taking everything it will give.

I think this is why I really haven't had any trouble with Survival- When you have 2 minutes of super slow motion you've got time to make some life choices lol

I'm getting into chems also. Psychojet for me and mentats.

I have to say that the chemist perks can end up lasting too long for my taste. You finish the fight but are still "high" so the slow motion of jet is still active when you just want to loot and move on. Just a little annoyance.

I make, use, enjoy and peddle all the chems. Awesome stuff. Nothing quite like taking a hit of Ultra Jet, Jet Fuel and maybe a smidgen of Mentat and going into VATS for a whole battle!

My toon recently took out 6 raiders BEFORE the BoS guys jumping out of the bird overhead managed to hit the ground, and her PER (8) and AGI (5) are just mediocre.

My first step to becoming the self-proclaimed Jet King of the Commonwealth was to start planting the Junk Store at ever settlement I had, then go to every one and buy the ingredients I needed.. I'd flip suits, toasters... Hell I'd sell a kids teddy bear if it'd get me 3 caps. Killed some riaders too... lot of em... Some were just Scavers but... you know how it is out there.

I like to make my own stuff. Pure as it can be. I've set up a little chem lab at Red Rocket in the former manager room. Don't trust that nasty raider stuff mixed with whatever. But hey, when in need, I'll use that too.

I only wish we could grow plants like Hubflower.

BWAHA Stupid Raiders!! AND Stupid BOS!! Nicely played.

I am using Chems way more than I have in any other Fallout/ES game to date - If you run into a roadblock, there's probably a chem that will obliterate it.
