Switching Between Gamesaves

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 11:55 pm

Would it be possible to be playing through the game with 2 different saves (ie. one good, one evil) and switch between them? If so, how would it work? And has anyone even attempted this?

I'm asking because I'm level 24 and want to go back to the beginning and start over but I also don't want to lose/overwrite my progress.

You just...create a new save file, and then load the one you want to play. :)

If you are playing on the 360 you could just create another profile. I do that for testing-purposes. If on pc I don't know...

On PC, PS3, and XBOX 360 you can have hundreds of different saves.

You can tell which one is which by the name of your character, the time, and whether you are good, neutral, or evil... atleast on PS3 you can.

That is true for XBox. I assume it was true for PC first ;)

If on the PC you could go into the my documents/my games/ fallout 3/ saves and rename them.

Also, if you're on the PC, you can install http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3729, which allows you save games in up to four different profiles.

To get full functionality out of it, you'll need to install http://fose.silverlock.org/ as well.

It does show name and time, but I don't want to go searching through because I may switch between them sometimes.

I'll try that, I also had a problem with saving that might be fixed by this. Thanks!
