Hey guys, having trouble with the quest Synth Retention, could really use a hand. Spoilers below...

After the main bits of the quest, and after having returned to Father, you are tasked with going to inspect your new personal quarters within the institute. I've reached the objective marker, but nothing's happening. The room is empty and there are no prompts as to what to do next. I've read that I am supposed meet a synth buddy here (X6), but alas he is nowhere in sight. If anyone has found a fix for this, please let me know, as the game cannot progress without this apparently paramount room inspection.

Update:

Synth Retention seems to have wiped itself while I was out questing. Specifically, I complete the quest in which you recruit the follower Strong (Trinity Tower), after which Synth Retention appeared on my completed list, and I progressed automatically to Battle of Bunker Hill. I don't recall seeing and "quest complete" or "quest given" prompts. Don't know what happened exactly, but I'm not the type to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Same issue here. However, I did what you did and went ahead and completed a different quest, the same as yours, the Trinity Tower one, and I was not as lucky as you. Still stuck on the same part of synth retention
