Even integrated cards can play a lot of games on reduced settings. No need to start a war here though, so I apologize if I did
@Johnny, if you want to save a few bucks, get it from Amazon, its only $57 instead of $60 for console
You responded to this statement:
Go for the Xbox, then. I'm going to put away my PC pride for a moment here, because while PC is the best experience you can have with any game, that's cut short if you have a laptop, since they're so much smaller, so much weaker, and generally not for gaming.
by saying:
Most modern laptops can handle games. Maybe not on the highest settings, but definitely enough to make the game playable. Personally I have a 16 inch Asus entertainment laptop with an ATI 5730 1gig graphics card which cost under $1000. But I agree, if I had a desktop I would definitely prefer to get it on that, but I gotta work with what I have. It just beats getting it for 360, I love aiming with a mouse so much more.
Which is wrong.
*Laptops are weaker than their desktop counterparts, in general even a laptop with a dedicated GPU is a generation behind that of a comparable desktop GPU.
*Laptops are, in fact, smaller. Most laptops do not have 1080p screens, which would hinder a gameplay experience.
Most integrated cards would have a very tough time playing Brink, if they even were able to at all. Not to mention all of the heating issues it would most likely have. While I'm sure that "most modern laptops", with integrated chips, could play games I am extremely doubtful that they would be able to handle Brink.
And no, it's not starting a war.
