System Requirements Question

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:20 am

I have a laptop that I ordered that will be coming next week. Will the specifications of it fare well for Oblivion?

Intel Core i3-350M 2.26GHz (3M cache)
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 1GB

It also has about 500 GB of space and a 14 inch high def led screen.

I forgot to mention that it is a dual core processor and runs windows 7 home premium.

It will run Oblivion fine on medium to high settings.

I think it is a fine topic for the Oblivion forums.

However, I believe it is best answered on the Oblvion Hardware and Software forum. There are even pinned FAQ threads at the top of that forum that specifically address the question 'Can my PC run Oblivion?'. After checking there, if still unsure, asking on that forum would be a fine idea.

And for Michalmora21, welcome to the forums! :icecream:

Edit: Ahah! I see this thread has been moved to the hardware/software forum after all.

Yes, we'll run this on the Hardware and Software forum now.

You should have no problem; the 5450 is your computer's weak point, but it's still good enough, probably for high settings on that small screen, but not more than that.

Well that site has been 100% accurate for myself so far. I have used it many times for many different games.

It has been wrong for many others, and the regulars here have had to do hand-holding for members who come here saying "Can I run it" mistakenly told them they could or couldn't run a game.

Maybe it has worked for you, but that's not going to convince others, and I'd suggest not using it as a pretext to flame another member for posting here.

The OP has a good answer. We can close this thread so that nobody will be tempted to argue the above further.
