(system shut down or crashing) still got no help..

i can't even play the game it makes my pc shut down at the start befor even geting to the stuck door with the circle handle thing (10-15 seconds into the game once you are able to stand up off the seat) my cpu is exactly what was required core 2 duo my graphic card is asus 9600 gt i just got drivers updated on nvidia site for my card i have tryed turning off antilasing and when i can't turn settings off on nvidia control panel i changed from high quality to high performance and changed from supersampling to multisampling and other stuff doing that didn't stop this random computer shut down and i normaly play wow that doesn't make my computer shut down... i was having same shut downs playing mass effect2 but that was like once every 3 hours..atleast i could actualy play the **** thing and not shuting down in same spot

yes something is wrong with my computer...it's 3 years old.. but it meets your system specs perfectly so there is nothing wrong with compadability issues this game asks for DX9.. i got windows xp so dx9 i got

it makes my pc shut down same spot everytime i have tryed 6 times now to play the game but it shuts down 10-15 seconds into the game after i have stood up off the seat in the submarine so 10-15 sec after that i went over the fallen pipe and when i fall down into water i walk through the arch way to go open the stuck door the npc(non-player characters) he needs help with opening it my pc shuts down about that time from walking through arch to geting to the door

ur computers probably overheating

this thread is stupid, ur whole criticism is about shutdowns which u say u experience with other games.
the obvious answer is that its ur pc, not the games.

I WONDER WHAT IS MAKING IT SHUT DOWN......... maybe the game it's self.. why else would they have "COMPUTER CRASHS/unable to load/ freeze" help on the internet for this and know or done everything that suggested to fix the problem

this is what is happening to cause the game to make my pc shut down and as you can see...all of it is to do with huge problems in the game not my computer but how do i fix it

that was from the "logbackups" i posted them from oldest to newest and i was wrong.. i thought i tryed playing 6 times but it was 5 times and here is the main log file which is named "game"

i deleted game content and now reinstalling and.. it's a steam verson so they always try to keep things updated if they can't get stuff fixed from the actual game maker crytek or then the game producer EA games, (just a guess -->)valve(who owns/created steam) no doubt would fix the problem their self why else would they have seperate forums for EVERY game that exists on their steam and have their own customer support

so i just tryed again playing i had specy open http://www.piriform.com/download and speccy shows the temprature of my cpu, harddrives, graphic card

my cpu is normaly around 50 celsius my graphic card 30 and harddrives 31 and in crysis my cpu only went up to 52 my computer is not over heating if it was over heating cpu would have to be 65, graphic card and harddrives around 62 celsius but it wasn't and in my other thread i clearly showed the logs that clearly again showed the failed or error spam about the game being broken

i even tryed reinstalling and it didn't fix the problem
