Table of New Vegas Script Functions/Commands

As far as I'm aware only the list of them have been figured out/released yet, if not I'll close this.

Anyway thanks to the wonderful Gibbed he used some sorcery to provide us with http://mod.gib.me/fonv/functions.html. Enjoy.

If anyone has any suggestions for it (the table) I'd be happy to hear them, it's essentially the same formatting as my original list for Fallout 3.

My only suggestion would be to take the actual text that they used for each param and combine it with the actual data type. For example, for the CaravanDeck command you'd list:

Caravan Deck:Caravan Deck, AI Type:Integer, Bet Percentage:Float

There are not really that many new ones, mainly PlaceAtReticle (this one I can already think of multiple uses for), GetReticleObject, the Challenge and Casino Games Functions and a few other small fairly useless Functions dealing with hardcoe mode and Reputation, a few for DLC checking, the last few new ones are fairly small scope purpose nothing that seemed interesting to me but I am sure others will find them useful -> everything else existed in either FO3 and/or Oblivion.

First off your list is inaccurate and by such a degree that a great deal of those functions are Oblivion Functions and DO NOT EVEN WORK for FO3 or FONV !...

EVERYTHING dealing with horses is old and non-functioning.
EVERYTHING dealing with fire EXCEPT the new block type OnFire are old Oblivion and non-functioning -> Unless they got fixed for FONV specificly.
Enable/DisableLinkPathPoints -> Not new.
Everything dealing with AI and Torches -> not new !
IsShieldOut -> Obviously! not new.

Hell you listed PickIdle as new !?!.... Maybe 1/4 of that list are truly new and they deal with the new functions introduced in FONV -> Casinos, hardcoe, Rep....etc. very few of the functions are useful new outside of the new features introduced with FONV

Seriously SAA new ?....
and TriggerLODApocalypse IS NOT NEW -> how do you think they poofed Megetons LOD when you popped the bomb's cherry ! oh wait it was with TriggerLODApocalypse -> Not New......

The functions I listed are new to NV from F3 - in other words, they were not in F3 at all. I didn't make the list, though, someone else did. He made it by comparing a list generated from F3's .exe with a list generated by NV's .exe.

(TriggerLODApocalypse wasn't in F3, at least according to the GECK wiki, for example)

TriggerLODApoclypse = Quest MS11 Stage 60, poof Megaton.

fairly sure its MS11, just do a text search and it will show up.

Interesting. I see that it is there (and in the F3 command list I have saved on my hard drive), but it isn't on the GECK wiki at all for some reason. I'm guessing the person who made that list just made a mistake on marking TriggerLODApocalypse as new *shrug*

People: This whole thing's been taken out of context. ianpatt http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1122265-initial-technical-details/page__view__findpost__p__16508545 the lists of ALL block types, script commands, console commands, and form types the night of release, our first glance at the technical changes/additions. I didn't have my disc yet so I'd alphebetized, roughly compared/contrasted his list with the GECK Wiki, then marked the commands which were new and/or not covered in the FO3 GECK Wiki (not including ones with links to the TES4 CS Wiki). The list was A) made in the wee hours of the morn' and B) was just an attempt to make it easier to visually filter out what's new. :shrug: For all I knew at the time, the game being brand new and all, they could have brought back mounts/torches/added riot shields/reincorporated fencing stolen items and resurrected old functions, thus "http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1122265-initial-technical-details/page__p__16508760&#entry16508760.

Hopefully, in context, it makes more sense how some old ones ...slipped under the radar. It's not like we can't further refine it and it's written in stone or anything, geez. :P

None of these are new, I use every single one of these except AddCreatureToLeveledList in my SSP mod for FO3.

RemapWaterType also not new, as it was introduced in one of the DLC's (thinking it was Broken Steel, but I could be wrong here) along with the 1.5 GECK.

And all of the rest fall under exactly what I said was new -> functions based on new game features and a very very few useful new functions outside of those new game functions, honestly not all that much to get excited about, NVSE will be what really opens up the scripting possibilities.

*shrug* None of those commands were on the command list I downloaded about three weeks ago from the FOSE website.

These are the functions which look rather useful that aren't due to new NV stuff like reputation/casinos/traits and aren't the List functions you say are already in the F3 GECK:
