L-TAG, the nub weapon... so they say.

Recently i started "levelling" this weapon to get the 1000 kills (dog tag). Well you have no idea how many insults i got and how many players wanted to kick me for using the L-Tag.Personally, before this week, i used the l-tag 1-2 times just for fun.

Normally i play crash site and i play on the DE servers. For some games no one said anything then, probably because i was blowing most of the enemies up, stuff like "tuber idiot", "cheater" and other insults started. Amazing to see how many players hate this weapon.

What i noticed is that normally as long as your enemies don't die from the l-tag explosives they don't care, since they probably think they are pro at avoiding it, in the moment you manage to kill them, the insults/kicks starts. Most of the times i'm asking why they think this weapon is a "noob weapon" or why they say "idiot tuber". Forget any type of answer.

I can even understand if someone spam this weapon until is out of ammo, all it does is just a lot of noise without killing anyone. The only player that actually gave me a decent answer was "9999 flcrm"(something like that) that told me the following: when the l-tag ammos are exploding, they are doing too much noise and you can't hear anything else, stuff like enemies steps near you... and i can understand that.

My PoV: If i'm playing on any servers that aren't using any ESL rules, i expect to find any type of player/weapon against me and i will use any weapon i have available at my level. Apparently some players think that in any server you are, you should never use the L-tag, no matter which game or type of game you are playing. The common thought behind this weapon is that it's banned and you can't use it.

Any thoughts about this >hated< weapon?

Some people will just whore CS games, wait for the pod to land and then spam LTAGs onto the site. Now it's annoying to be killed by them, but then it's annoying to be killed by any weapon - especially by explosives on the crash site. What really pisses me off about the LTAG though are the constant boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, booms you hear all through the fekkin game.

The L-tag is probably the hardest gun to use. I can NEVER... HIT... ANYTHING with it!!!

Not to mention the sound is damn annoying too

Don't get killed by it a whole heap, mostly just random shots that the guy shooting them **** up, and bounced off a pole and landed on me.

Its just....really **** loud. Had a server with 3 people going at it non stop pretty much, took my headphones off and just played by eye. The kill radius is pretty small, so tards who spray with it will rarely get a kill (annoying when they do, but meh, spray enough with any weapon and you'll hit something). But the noise is very painful and distracting (seeing as its just as loud on the other side of the map), but rarely serves to do more than piss me off, rather than affect the game. Its probably more annoying on crash site if you're the type of guy who runs in there with everyone else and hugs it. Well thats your fault, you dont get extra points for having everyone in there, so go kill the guy at the other end of the rainbow.

The L-Tag is a BLAST (hehe). I'm not sure if I really like the damage buff it got in the last update though, now there are more random kills with it (due to the splash damage). Before direct hits were the only way to get a guaranteed kill and it was anything BUT a noob weapon.

I personally don't like the L-TAG but never insults anyone, it just gives me maximum headache ( too much noise ) BOOM BOOM BOOM the whole match lol
Some players don't know how to use it but when meeting good L-TAG players i can appreciate it even if a bit boring but it's ok.
I was in trouble in a match one hour ago, i think Pacifista87 was there ( Hello ) , he's a good L-TAG user, there was another guy in his team, both of them were good, thanks for the match ^^

Maybe a patch that lower the noise would be cool , it's insupportable especially when using a headset

Yea they should give an option to mute the ltag and the" nanovision enabled" sound

Its not really effective outside of spamming it into Crash Sites. Whats annoying is that if there is even just one L-Tag user its all you can hear for the entire match.

Not effective? It's the only OHK primary weapon in the game...

I found it odd that it was in the primary weapon slot anyhow. It should be in the explosives class after the C4. Equipped with 5 rounds and that's it till re-spawn.

Well ive used the L-TAG a couple of times and yeah its really hard to handle it,and a bunch of people use this weapon for crash site so its annoying.

I actually enjoy its presence in the game. The sounds is loud for a reason. I can't get off more than clip without being spotted because of it. Its optimal usage is to volley 2 or 3 at a crash site, hope it can clear it, and if not, it provides just enough a distraction for your other team mates to get in there. For CTR, its great clearing bases out with a few quick volley's. And for TDM, what else to use when you have some distance on some clusters or need to get around corners and such.

The fact that people are spamming it don't really understand what its purpose is.

yeah.. damn annoying weapon especially the boom boom boom making the game a torture to other players. It is so uncool to kill your enemies with the weapon and it is noise pollution!

i think it's pretty balanced, i can get way more kills with the scar but for me its just an ultra fun thing to use cuz kills are so much more satisfying lol, and it helps teammates in a tight situation out too. to be honest, it's really easy to see the spammer especially if they're shooting nonstop.

I disagree strongly with the L-Tag being a noob weapon, it's not that easy to get kills. Firing everywhere only gets you the one unlucky sod. When it comes to a 1v1 confrontation it's usually the L-Tagger that gets the killcam. The L-Tag fires grenades that require direct contact to kill someone and gives observant targets time to get out of blast radius. Get in close enough and the L-Tagger is screwed, since grenades won't explode if you're too close.

I recently found out, that the L-Tag is a really deadly weapon, when you learn how to use it, not just spam it.
Same for the K-Volt, people say it svcks, and is weak, and i still can dominate the map with it.
Same with the Majestic, hard to use, but very deadly...
