Tagging Skills

I was thinking what if at the beginning after character creation, we had the opportunity to tag skills similar to what Fallout 3/New Vegas had. You could tag 2 or 3 skills 10 points, I'm still undecided on having the tags be 2 skills or 3 skills.

What would your thoughts be on this.

This is a Fallout feature since Fallout 1. I don't think this will be included after taking out major and minor skills. It's going against the philosophy they follow to take out that system.

True. The only bonuses we should get with stats are the racial bonuses.

I wouldn't say it's a bad thing it's just a bonus as to what skills you want to be good with. The only problem I see is where are the skills going to start out at. Are all of them going to start at 5 points, 15 points, or at 25 points.

They won't all start at 25 that's ridiculous. 15 is also too high. I think the UI screenshot shows some skills under 15, so that's proof that skills will start much lower.

Your right 25 is too high although 5-15 is still possible. Regardless depending on where the skills start I think we could tag 2 or 3 of them. Although whatever is done it'll be better then what Oblivion had.

I didn't meant that I am against this, I simply think that it not fits with taking away main skills.

As for starting numbers I suppose 5 will be the number (adding later the racial bonuses).

Some will probably start at 10 and 15 due to racial bonuses. Generally I think that will be good enough for me.

The Racial Bonuses are going to be important. If the Bonuses themselves give enough of a boost with the skills like for example a Breton that has Restoration start at 15-20 instead of 5-10 because the Breton gets bonuses from being good with Restoration, then Tagging isn't necessary.
