no shortcut, you get one implant per each point of endurance, so if you initilaly have 5 endurance you get 5, now if you take an implant for endurance you get one more, in addition if you raise it again with an intense training etc you get another implant, whatever your total endurance is thats how many implants you get.

you dont really get one more from an EN implant, you just get a "free" EN implant and the number of implants you can still get is the same as before you got the one for EN.

of course if you cant get anymore implants you cant get one for EN. so get that one before you run out.

Taken from the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_implants

You can only apply a limited number of implants, the limit being determined by your starting Endurance PLUS any additional increases to Endurance via Intense Training. The implant for Endurance will NOT allow you to get an extra implant. For example, if your starting endurance = 6, you can get 6 of the 9 possible implants. If you boost endurance to 7 with the implant you still will only be able to get a total of 6 implants.

I can confirm you can. I've done it before. You just can't use the endurance implant to add another implant spot. Which I think is stupid

You can definatley perk-up to get more implants. So if all the available perks don't look that useful, and you've got the caps, you can effectievely get 2 special points out of a perk.

It was a longshot, but I tried using some prewar clothing that had +1 endurance. Yeah it didn't allow me to get another implant. Had to try though.

lets if i got it right. implants depends on endurance. 5 end means 5 implants. using perks to increase end works to increase number of implants but that is the only way to increase number of implants pass starting end?

If you get an endurance implant to raise ur endurance from 5 to 6 you gotta realize that extra slot is now taken up by that endurance implant you just bought. If you got 5 endurance and u want 6 implants then 1 implant will be endurance so dont think if u got 5 used and you buy the endurance one that you can then go and buy and int or str implant afterwards. Its kinda stupid unless u just happen to need endurance

yeah thats how i do it, if your endurancde is 7 you get 7 implants if you want, my endurance usually starts at 5, i get 5 implants, one of em endurance usually so that gives me another, then i raise my endurance to 7 with IT perk, thats usually where it stays and i go back to dr usagi or whatever her name is and she tells me i can handle more implants,so i play the game with a 7 endurance and i get atotal of 7 implants, i usually do 1 toughness implant and get 6 SPECIAL implants. and i take 2 or 3 intense trainging perks so thats a total of like 8 or 9 more points for my special to work with.

You are lying
Getting an endurance implant does NOT and i repeat does NOT increase the number of implants you can have. This is confirmed not only by the wiki and multiple people but from personal experimentation as well.
If you have 5 endurance at the start even if you get an endurance implant for 6 endurance you can still only have 5 implants.
The only way you can increase the number of implants you can have is by taking the Intense Training perk and adding it to Endurance.

He may be encountering a bug in taking IT after getting the implant. It's worth considering.

Bug?

My apologizes I didn't think about the potential of a bug occuring if you take the IT perk AFTER getting an endurance impact. Knowing how the game functions I won't be surprised if it actually works.

I agree with this, it felt like by using perks to raise endurance you get a bonus special point from whatever implant you buy. Prety good deal I felt!
