Taking screenshots in Windows 7

Post » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:56 pm

allowscreenshot = 1
iscreenshot = 1

but when I open the command and hit tm, then close. I hit print screen but nothing happens nor can I find screen shots placed in my games folder or in the destination I placed it when I installed oblivion. I am using Windows 7 64 bit

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

hmm, that does not work, is it not taking a screenshot? I just took a screenshot of this forum so I know the key works but nothing seems to happen in Oblivion

Do you have AA enabled? That is known to cause the game to fail to capture the image. Its best if you just use Fraps to capture the picture....or try taking it without AA enabled.

No, but I have HDR checked. Also, is there a way to reset the ini? WHat happens if I delete it?

THe game will create a new one --- for the screenshots Does the message come up saying the shot has been save ?

If yes then it is probably being rerouted to your virtual folder (try using explorer to search for Screenshot*.* and see if it finds them)
If no then most likely you have AA enabled or something else keeping it from working.

In either case the easiest fix is to http://www.fraps.com/ and use it instead of the in game screenshooter (can set it to use any key you want for taking shots and can save to any folder you want also (and if you get the full version it can save them directly to .jpg - otherwise it saves as .bmp and you need to convert if uploading)
