Oh, I'm going to hate myself for this.
In a little side story I had in mind for Fallout: New Vegas, I had a plot line where someone would send the Courier to clear out a Gecko infestation along the northern rim, so the place can be cleared for possible mining. However, after hearing some strange banter echoing through the caverns where the Geckos were hiding out, the Courier investigates, eventually running across a Gecko who, strangely, had a small leather vest strapped to him. Once he cornered the critter, he discovered the that it was the Gecko that the Courier heard, and it had spoke English! After that, things went from awkward to just downright weird, as the two travel to find out more about the reasoning for the mining operation.
You thought that was weird? Well, I came across something that is even stranger, and was actually canon. Yep, if you read the title, Talking Deathclaws. I originally heard of the strange occurrence on ShoddyCast, as part of the Fallout Lore Series, and was actually part of Fallout 2.
Now, my question: what do you think happened to the intelligent Deathclaws of Vault 13? It was inferred that if an Intelligent Deathclaw male bred with a non-intelligent female, the males could potentially be as intelligent as the father. Could we encounter such beastlies in Fallout 4 as a DLC Story? Am I just going nuts?
