TalkyMorrowind (OBLIVION-style dialogs)

Post » Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:15 pm

Or just do a split dialogue. Don't say anything it all. I think it could work best.

They should all call the pc N'WAH! :P

It's incredible how Morrowind can be modded since its release. First, the FPS Optimizer. Then comes Morrowind Enhanced. Afterwards comes MWSE and MGE. And then this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PndGwkPFbi0&feature=related by Instruments of Destruction should be named "Official Theme Song of Morrowind Modding". :D

I'm watching this! :D

There are different synth voices for male/female characters and separate for creatures (you are free to choose the most suitable one for you - that's why voice modulation drives are not included) , and each synth voice is modified for each race. You can download the program on the http://vicshann.narod.ru/TalkyMorrowind.html. And the russian voices for khajiits (part 1, russian) will be released in a month or so and will include voices for most well-known khajits of Morrowind.

This is brillant ! Really nice looking ;)
One question btw. - is use of external voice acting programs will be simple? For the other languages ? I know some programs of this type, and if You need a voice actor, just let me know ;)

Sign. People. I sorry to ask about this again. But, why can't WE be the one that does the voices. It would at least to my knowledge sound better then the russians trying to speak on english. For example.

Just tried this thing, it works! Microsoft Anna is horrible, but the program itself shows great promise.

i guess it would with decent voice actors, but i'm not a decent voice actor, so you'll need to find some decent voice actors for the races if you want and make your own voice's for use with it. I really like the khajiit voice in the russian version, so if you make a khajiit voice, try to make it sound like that (or even better) :D

i can't wait till the voices are released, great work guys!

please don't say that, he'll get a big head <_<

maybe you should be a voice actor verm1n, and i think it would require a voice mixer to get the khajiits and argonians just right (unless you find a REALLY good voice actor)

Hmph, well I could with certainty and will do two roles with some help from my schizophrenia, but do a voice over for all the characters in Morrowind? I think that would require some serious mess-up mental instability and a good imagination. I got one of those, but the other I'm still lacking.

Maybe we could talk to a mental hospital, some of them got to have two or more personalties in them.

^ Damn straight you do. :P

So what's the gameplan on the V/Os? Go through the MQ and compile a script? Or compile a script of the most common dialogue? What's the plan of attack, here?

Part of it is that very few pure Morrowind players have the knowledge or resources to do voices. You'd be better off asking for help in the Oblivion forum, at least to get the basics down pat.

Well, I'm using no voice mixers and I suppose the result isn't bad. Here is the example http://forum.fullrest.ru/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=8075
The matter is that while using some voice mixers you'll get a strong feel of something artificial, unnatural.

So what's the gameplan

As for the global strategy - I just open the Construction Set and read all dialogs for Khajits (or those which could be used by Khajits) one by one...

Comodo picked up http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i201/Vality7/talkkyy.jpgwhile installing the program...

edit: Has anyone got this working on the english version yet? I couldn't get morrowind to load with this installed.

i couldn't either, it was something to do with binkw32.dll, where the modules are installed
is there certain modules we might have to add to the list, maybe?

oh, btw, i know nothing about voice stuffz i was just suggesting a voice mixer because i thought that voice mixers were pretty good, and that doing the khajiit and argonian voices would be hard.
and you can do that khajiit voice normally? that's a cool party trick
