Talos Nord Or Breton?

Of course not. More likely that way.

I believe it's only Treng who feels that Tiber wouldn't tell a lie in his official biography.

My bad...when you dismissed Aenvir's opinion about Nord propaganda I thought you were saying it wasn't propaganda, but you were just dismissing their opinion because you disagree on the source of the propaganda. My apologies.

I am going to go with this answer, it is the only one that makes sense when you look up his backstory

Always thought he was a Imperial with Nordic blood. His avatars are Imperial, (Wulf, and maybe the Prophet.)

You do, however see a huge difference between the statue of Talos in Skyrim and in Oblivion. Oblivion one looks more Imperial/Breton like, while Skyrim looks a bit more Nord like. But not by that much.

His http://images.uesp.net/4/4a/RG-misc-Forebear_Truce.jpg, makes him look a bit more Breton like.

I think he was a mutt, just a mix of different races. Not that his race really matters now, he went and god himself.

His seat as emperor had already been secured. The Jarls who denied him had already been put down. There was no reason to lie about being Nord.

Has there ever been an Emperor who needed a reason to lie about anything?

He'd already told them he was Talos of Atmora when he was fighting for Cuhlecain in Skyrim. The PGE just put the official stamp on his earlier tall tales. There was plenty of reason to try to get the Nords over to his side. Even after he got the crown, he and his dynasty still had to keep it. We can look back now and say he didn't need to build up his legend, but that's hindsight.

I believe in one of two things regarding Tiber Septim (Hjalti Early-beard).

1. He was Atmoran (as he himself claimed and what is recorded as being official) and was raised in High Rock (accounts suggest he was raised there).

2. He had a Nordic father (his name 'Hjalti Early-beard' is a pure Nord / Atmoran name) and a Breton mother (pictures depict him with possible Breton physical characteristics) and was raised in High Rock.

He was Atmoran. He later came to Skyrim to train with the greybeards. I guess you could say he is of Nordic descent.

To me, all the evidence points to Tiber Septim being born of a Breton mother and Nord father.

Ysmir Wulfharth was Atnordan.

Zurin Arctus was a Cyrod, if I am not mistaken.
