Tam! RUGH!

Probably not Not to my knowledge. I don't think that's a stupid question, though.

Screw this. Sword-theory is where it's at.

Agreed. It's better to stab an elf, repeatedly too, than listen to one.

Sorry for a stupid question, but is the Temple Zero Society poster a developer?

No. Fan fiction is the whole point.

Although the Al-Esh is beautiful in all her names and tales, so many years of right-thinking had been imposed on the slaves that they recoiled from white skin and dark hair.

Why did the elves indoctrinate against pale skin and black hair (snow-white?).

I'm assuming that golden skin and hair was the dominant ideal of beauty for the Ayleids, which the slaves adopted. An Ayleid wouldn't want to look like a slave race, or worse, a Nord. (In my view, many of the Nedic groups are asiatic in appearance, so looking non-elven is the thing, not white skin specifically)

Truly an excellent piece there. The final section, about the reordering of White-Gold Tower, is genius.

Marukh ate my forum password, too.

Edit: the verification email is slow; I'll do it here

Spangled, not sprangled

in her staggering age the last word is missing

for his armor (not army) had dissolved into its own tapestry of stars

the tower about them swelled and (not as) gasped

Vahtache was the appellation of doom. It's supposed to be Vahtacen(SP?) here, suggesting that the rebels gave the ruin the name it has in vanilla Oblivion.

fate chose to taunt (not mock) White-Gold

and three score raiders of-'Kreath
(misplaced hyphen instead of a space)

Morihaus's

Maybe its the other slaves, (apostrophe)

Actually, that's a fair question, as I'm not sure it's ever been explained outside of decade-old forum posts.

In any case, it's the True name of the world.

Imagine an ape (Marukh) struggling to say "Tamriel" and you get "Tam! RUGH!"

That's pretty damn cool. I likes it. :)

Speaking of monkeys and humans, somehow I'm reminded of the movie "The Prophecy" when the renegade angel Gabriel has this conversation with another angel:

Simon: I'm so tired of this war.
Gabriel: Reject the lie Simon. Join us! Help us make it like it was before the monkeys. You remember? We cast out Lucifer's army, you and I. We threw their rebel thrones from the wall.
Simon: They wanted to be gods.
Gabriel: I don't wanna be a god Simon. I just wanna make it like it was, before the lie. When he loved us best.

I thought the Asiatic appearance came later, being used as -or to distinguish- the Akaviri facial traits. Spanish might work though, that way it can also contrast nicely with the Nords.

Not east Asian, more like a variety of groups who include people who appear vaguely similar to anyone from Middle Easterners to Filipinos to Caribbean Latinos. The Nede tribe itself (so numerous that it refers to all the others in this era of shoddy scholarship) could be any Mediterranean people, found on jungle rivers, Gold Coast ports or Velothi lakes.

Aah right, then the names we give to the appearance just aren't in alignment. Sat in the train with a woman from Spain last Monday. Raven black hair and a pale skin and a sleek face. Kinds like http://gallery4collectors.com/images/Pino-TheDancer.jpg.

Honestly forgot to give props to the OP for this incredibly good read. Especially after that "88888888888888888888888888888" travesty from that one guy.

An early work by the prolific playwright Kambuja, known in Cyrodiil as Cambyses, whose future son would become a celebrated folk hero in Hammerfell's struggle against the Cyrodiil Empire. Short one act plays such as the one below are traditionally played by a host of voice actors whose only responsibility is to read the appropriate character's lines, while their counterparts on stage concentrate solely on performing the often dangerous sword-fighting techniques that the genre abounds in.

Well, not the play itself, but I believe the author is Cyrus the Restless's father. He writes a bunch of plays in the flashback. I forget whether his name was Kambuja, though -- perhaps it wasn't.

And so you want to know of truest song written in the fluid concentricity of wood, the import of which of the mannish can hardly know, being kin to Kyne, as they call her, and thereby children of open skies, and not of good grounded greenery.
