Tamriel or Akavir

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:36 am

the altmer are my least favourite race in oblivion i'd even rather play as an ogre.....

Not the Bosmer?! Oh well, I like the Altmer ok, I dislike the Imperials (Oblivion's Imperials, Morrowinds were boring but ok) and hate Bosmer (Morrowind and Oblivion's, Daggerfall's weren't too bad, if there were any) so I hope that TES V doesn't take place in Valenwood or Cyrodil. I want the Summerset Isles so we can meet Morgiah again actually.

You can kill even more of them at Summerset Isles. Either way, we both seem to agree that TES should stay in Tamriel.

Me too. Also, I don't want TES in Akavir until I know the Dev won't change the lore. If we have onte take place there we better have the tiger people, monkey people, snake people, and that one other race.

I do like both, but I still prefer Tamriel.

Akavir is interesting, but I want it to stay mysterious... for some time.

The legends are better when they stay legends. Chances are if Bethesda set a game in Akavir they would ruin it. (No offense Bethesda)

So I vote Tamriel.

Please no, there would be nowhere near enough detail in the game. Also, Bethesda did that with Arena.

that was 15 years ago. i think bethesda can do it right, they already have cyrodils map with probably the same graphics tes-5 will have, and i think bethesda could pull htis off now. i wouldnt mind waiting longer for it. can you imagine if they did pull it off how great the game would be?

sorry for the double post, i dont know how that happened.

Not all Daedra are evil, nor do they all want to invade Tamriel. The Daedra are not a cliche'd "evil demonic race", like, say, the Burning Legion. All of you who want another Daedric invasion have been using too much Skooma.

too much skooma or too much time in the shivering isles.. or both

Leave Akavir the Hell alone... We mess with Akavir and we have dragons, the Nerevarine, and all kinds of bad juju.

Akavir would be really awesome to see, but theres a lot of Tamriel to see as well. I wouldnt mind a game in Akavir, but maybe when Bethesda has done Tamriel for long and well enough.

This. They should get to Akavir or something eventually, because it's too good a setting to pass up. Not for the next game, mind, but sometime in the future. Perhaps 2020, if the series lasts that long.

Ok, so say the Devs allowed you to pick between Akavir and Tamriel for TES V, which would you choose and why?

Tamriel, because there's still an insurmountable amount of lore there that has yet to be uncovered. The most I want from Akavir is maybe a few NPCs or creatures, perhaps a dungeon or two.

I highly doubt that they'll use the same graphics for TES 5, partially because its not something they've made a habit of in the past so there's no reason to assume they'll start now - especially considering they have plenty of time to work on bettering it. On top of that I really don't think they're lame enough to use the same map and engine twice, that would just svck.

Apart from that, that Arena was made forever ago is one of the reasons it could span the whole continent, it didn't need anything besides randomly generated land and it lacked the depth that the TES series now holds. It is without a doubt impossible for them to make any decent game encompassing the whole continent, its not even a debate...
