@Darkom95
That is very interesting and had me thinking. But having Bethesda actually in the lore really kinda kills the whole lore and reminds me that I'm just playing a video game. I like to envision two denizens of Tamriel having a conversation about what we're having. And Bethesda doesn't exist in the TES series as far as in the actual game world and lore.
I see now your point on why Tamriel is more important as far as the mythology of the godhead dreaming there more. But if you were to place yourself on Nirn in the land of Akavir, like, say you were a Tsaesci (vampire snake people) and you were having a very busy and wonderful (or terrible) life, wouldn't you think that Akavir was the most important and not Tamriel?
:shrug: Think of it however you want, I was just using that as a kind of metaphor. Canonically, the Godhead is simply an unconsciously dreaming being that created all existence. However, no one in Tes really knows that (save a few crazy or enlightened individuals), so you won't see many people having a "conversation" about him.
Technically you would be right in lore, the Tsaesci still have things going on over there and they do think of themselves as just as important as humans, but metaphysically and fictionally Akavir carries far less importance. Once again you'll have to suspend your suspension of disbelief, as this kind of goes in with the "BATF" rule- which is to say that it technically doesn't exist, but it has an effect on Tes nonetheless. If you want an in-lore reason, just know that since Tamriel is the center, the starry heart, it is more important.
And I think game mechanics are irrelavant to the Godhead too, but in the sense that if a god is dreaming this universe and a person realizes that they are the universe and everything within it I IS WE ALL ARE or whatever it is, then you would be able to do any and everything in it; change physics, think up new planets, smash Nirn, whatever.... it's all just a dream that the godhead is dreaming, like translucent dreaming. But as we all know, computer technology has no comparison to the human imagination with a pen and paper. As you've just witnessed, it's easier said than done. If the construction set is a display of our powers of the godhead, then it sure is ridiculous that nobody physically climb a ladder since there is no AI or animation for it.
If computer technology was 400 years advanced, the godhead would have more of a variety of control over the dream (according to your terms).
Not technically what I was saying, that is getting even further away from lore than I was. The godhead being the CS is more of a forum joke than any actual lore.
But to me, the godhead and its limits/powers/whatever shouldn't be based off of the development team and what they're capable of creating as far as a universe, because quite frankly, the world they create is utterly pathetic and miniscule when compared to Earth and the solar system and the Milky Way galaxy and everything else in our universe.
So I like to think of the godhead as a concept or state of existence, like what all the et'Ada (daedra & aedra) are, and not Bethesda Studios or ZeniMax corporation.
Of course, I wasn't claiming in any way the godhead was limited by the games, only by the imagination of the devs. However, know that the godhead isn't like the other Tes gods, nor is it Bethesda. He is the dreamer who created the universe through his dreams; this has in-lore value as well as out-lore value. In-lore he is the proginetor of all creation; out-lore he is the real creator of the world, being the devs. Since this is an in-lore forum, saying anything in out-lore can only really be used for metaphors like this, and not real lore reasoning.
