I don't think the Daedra are creative by nature; more often destructive. They're ultimate selfishness.

I understand your point perfectly, I just disagree. The way I see it, the creation of the subgradient that is Nirn, the "attributions share" and the sacrifice of self all just differentiates them considerably from the Daedra; Mundus isn't the center of the egg/wheel while the daedric realms aren't for no good reason... daedra are just part of the system, mortals can escape it...

Well, apart from that they wouldn't; if they went about that building of a new world in the same fashion that the 'Aedra' did then I'd say yes (well, they still wouldn't be 'Aedra' in the 'our ancestors' sense from the perspective of Nirn, but from completely outside they would be the same). Though I'm not sure what effect that would have on the universe, I'd reckon it'd screw it around royally... But since they haven't and they wouldn't, it doesn't change anything, they don't want to be like the Aedra...

Sheo always struck me as being pretty creative, being the Prince of Madness. And having to rebuild the Isles every era.

Don't think he mean...in the literal sense...especially since...that's his realm.

And he's a somewhat special case. I also view destructive as "chaotic," which is broader.

Sheogorath isn't making anything new. He's simply rearranging material back into something old. Despite the colorful cataclysms that rock the SI every era, at it's core it's still only a cycle of receding back to pre-existing ideas.

The Manic side of madness is strongly tied with creativity. Without madness, can there be creativity?

And isn't all creating simply rearranging old material into something new?

It's the mortals who are doing the painting though. Sheo just sat around laughing.

But they were blessed with the gift of Sheogorath. And he did come up with names like Wabbajack and Gambolpuddy. Either way, Daedra are said to represent change.

You can call it what you like, just remember that you can't.

Did people create madness or did madness exist before people? That isn't just some philosophical qeustion, it has an answer.

But do we know the answer?

Wouldn't know that if there wasn't an answer.
