Awesome screens, Lady N. <3

I have been stoked for Necrom/the 3rd release for a year or two now. It's like Morrowind is about to get re-released with how badass all of Map 3 looks. Looking out south from Vivec, St Olms and seeing something besides an infinite expanse of water is probably going to give me a seizure. The best seizure ever.

Unfortunately our third release doesn't extend that far, with our 4th release coming close. (Old ebonhart is now in our 5th release, as we wanted the entire Thirr river valley to be in one release to make it more awesome)

Odd thing is, our third release is taking such a ludicrous amount of time, that the ones after it should come markedly faster. (as we are working on them while necrom is finalized)

So it's mostly Necrom that is taking a lot of extra time?

I know/have known, though I did -not- know that you guys had decided to put Old Ebonheart into release 5. I was referencing map 3 when I mentioned Vivec, and -release- 3 earlier in the post when I mentioned Necrom.

I check up on the exterior detailing claim threads quite often actually. From what I've gathered, what's left to do is the NPC claims from claim #9 and #7 before release 3 hits. I know Aeven just recently finished detailing claim #8, though I have no idea if detailing or NPC claims come first and whether or not #8 still needs NPCs.

Like I said. I keep up. :3 I've been especially excited because I've always loved mournhold Velothi architecture and can't wait to see villages and things made from those tilesets.

Necrom has svcked up so much time because of the quite important lore requirements, and of course there being quite a lot of new models to it. It's one of the most important Dunmer cities in the whole country, and has been through a fair few revisions to ensure it's good enough.

In other news, I generated some distant land and took some screenshots of Narsis, the capital of Hlaalu, as promised. The land surrounding the city is undeveloped and may look a little rubbish, but the city itself is pretty awesome.

Those are amazing Cathartis! Those last two aren't working for me for some reason but the others look great (although I can't figure out what's going on in 3- it looks like the IC). Is that with MGE?

And no-one seems to remember the proximity of map 2 with quests. It really can't be that far away.

Very impressive images Cathartis, no wonder each release takes so long. :)

It's like I just got punched in the chest with a fist made out of awesome and then it handed me a 100 dollar bill and apologized.

Those new Hlaalu towers are especially awesome. They fit right in with the stock meshes.

A couple of the links were broken, my apologies. I fixed the original post so the Narsis screens are all visible.

I remember seeing the older version with all the fountains, and though I know it was a framerate killer, are there any plans to add in a simpler fountain or two, possibly in that large open area beside the staircase?

This is still my favorite TR city regardless, and I'm very glad to finally see decent shots of the revision.

What is the plan with the maps that have Cyrodiil and Skyrim bordering it on the west? Will there be an abrupt cut off like the one we see now at the southern part of map 2, only then in the shape of the Morrowind province, or will the border lines be finished properly and just have it appear that Morrowind is an island?

We're building up to the provincial borders, with terrain inhospitable enough to make crossing them hard, but not impossible. There are several gated passes along the Morrowind border, and if anyone wants to build a province mod against those borders so as to be compatible, they're more than welcome to do so. I believe that's what Lestat's Skyrim project was planning on doing.

Is there any approx time for the third map? I been waiting years for this, and am waiting for its release to get back into the game. The reason I ask is because from reading some posts, it sounds pretty close!

edit - nevermind, read the TR forum and it says before the end of 2010(hopefully)

The forums are a pretty good place to watch for this kind of thing, especially the claimed interiors/exteriors. It's a lot easier to wait when you can watch progress being made~

Its looking awesome indeed!

With map 3 looking almost complete and of course the updates for map 2 with quests could we expect a happy christmas/new year - if theres talk of it being end of 2010???

I am not gonna be disapointed if it isnt the end of 2010, as quality takes time - but damn I want the next map!

I know you people are probably getting burned out on the number of screenshots we've been putting out, but Lady N has had some troubles with her Tribunal disc, so I took the liberty of screenshotting most of the Indoril holdings in Sacred East, along with a few of the big fish that is Necrom. Enjoy!

Necrom looks gorgeous, I can't wait to visit it some day :) . I wonder how the citizens there might treat the Nerevarine?

Also I like the use of the mournhold statics for some of the other towns, they all look great.

This looks so good I can hardly find the words.

Just wondering how along the project is. Got the first and second map. Are the quests done for them in a never update? Been a year or something since my last update. Or well, since the second map at least.

edit: And when I say quests I mean specificly quests that have a storyline, like a main quest or something. Thou I read somewhere that you scrapped that. But you where planning on making house quests in its place or something.
