Tamriel Rebuilt is doing something very weird

I'm using MGE with distant land set to 7. I tried adjusting the distant land to 30 to see if that might help things, but it didn't. I have a feeling this is something to do with the way TR works with MGE though? Or is this just a common unavoidable problem that everyone gets? Is it more likely to be some problem with the actual mod itself, maybe conflicting with another or something? (I don't have any other landmass mods that use TRs area). Any help would be just great (preferably hep that doesn't require me to mess around with mods and patches, as I really want to carry on with my current save.

If you're seeing a situation where everything below you appears to be under water at a distance, but the water level recedes as you approach, I had that happen with the TR second map and MGE. Never figured it out, but haven't been back to the TR maps in months, so it might still be that way, or not. I don't run any external shaders, but do have distant land enabled.

Kovacius, your problem sounds like you have run MGE distant land generation without checking the TR ESPs on...

yes this seems to be apart of the problem - loads of water where it shouldnt be,. that disappears when you get near to it.

It appears the Distant Land creation process either ran corrupted, or did not run completely. TR does not change any game mechanics; we only add new land and people and quests, which are not affected by distant land.

Considering that, in my case, it worked fine in the first TR map area, but not in the second region, and that I didn't use MGE at all until after I was already using the TR map 2 beta, it probably crashed while producing the distant land files, or whatever, and failed to render the second map properly. I've since re-run distant land, to properly handle the revised landscape around the NoM-added "Food of the Gods" restaurant, so it might be good now, but I won't know until my char goes there.
