[WIP] Tamriel Rebuilt - Sacred East #4

All I can say is that I like it better than the original. Walking through the original made it seem...flat.

OH Mamma, that's gorgeous!

If I may, how close are you guys to completing the city exterior? I remember seeing some sixy interior shots for some type of cathedral building; has that been salvaged, or is the entirety of Old Almalexia being thrown out?

It is our plan to attempt to salvage as much as possible, for time and logic reasons. Crappy interiors won't be kept, but the Basilica of Almalexia's Grace (the cathedral to which you refer) is hardly one of those .

Please enjoy this little video showcasing our landscape from the Velothi Mountains bordering Cyrodiil in the west, to the beautiful island of Gorne in the east, doing a little fly by of the Armun Ashlands, River Thirr and Almalexia (still WIP). Available in 1080p for awesomeness.

Wow; Now I feel bad for Vivec, the city of Almalexia really truly outdoes Vivec city! like, Vivec city is a small-fishing village compared to Almalexia! O_O

Amazing work on everything!

You and your nirnroots...
I'd love to see nirnroots all throughout Tamriel, myself.

@EsoptrosOer: If you mean by looks, but size...Vivec can still compare.

Yes. That looks like a wonderful Almalexia. I love cities with elevation, despite being mildly acrophobic.

Wow... oh, lol! Almalexia absolutely dominates that whole half of Morrowind.

So cool. I have one question: are the Morag Tong going to have a base in Almalexia, or is the DB going to have sole dominion over the city? That place looks so big, I can just imagine gang wars raging in the sewers, and smaller gangs being forced to lie low on the surface. I can't wait to see how you guys build the culture up there, honestly.

Mr. MannlyMan: Currently we plan on the Morag Tong having their (likely the largest) base not West of the Thirr River. Exactly where, I'm not sure... but the old version of Almalexia had nearly an entire cell of the city devoted to Morag Tong buildings and businesses.

Yes. That looks like a wonderful Almalexia. I love cities with elevation, despite being mildly acrophobic.

You'll love Akamora in Sacred East, then.

Wow your regions are awesome, I can't imagine the amount of work put in it!!!
Almalexia seems weird to be raised like that. Maybe it's because the elevation ground don't seems really worked/with disparities on it?

What he said. I know I am asking too much, but it would be really awesome if they make available every map like they did for map 4. I wanna get lost in mainland Morrowind!!!

when I retire, instead of going through those old dusty tomes I never got around to reading, I'll be loading up my ancient copy of morrowind, and basking in the glory of a fully realised morrowind, on my futuristic computer which requires 'winbot' to even get it to run.

It's dedicated and fantastic work like TR that has me convinced that Morrowind will last for a very long time. Thank you all for your gargantuan efforts!

They are called Nirnroots so they probably grow on the whole planet of Nirn. So yes. If logic is right...which it could very well be wrong.

The previous video showcased the Kragenmoor - Almalexia area, this video starts out in the same place but heads north into snowy landscapes and windswept mountains - Through the Velothi Mountains, going past Kogotel and finally seeing Baan Malur in the distance. Some of the areas are still a work in progress, please enjoy!

Are you guys keeping the official bit of Almalexia in its own cell or opening the city? Also, is it changed at all, to fit with the mood and amazingness of the rest of TR?
