I hope TR isn't a total copy of existing landscape types, though.

In addition to what others have said, we also have entire new landscape types (ash swamp, true forests, for example). We do try to innovate while at the same time keeping the mod as similar in style to the original content that it doesn't scream "THIS IS A MOD!" at you when you play it... although it might, if we're anywhere near the quality we hope to be :)

TR is obviously a mod, I don't see Bethesda putting that much effort in one dungeon like Kemel-Ze.

At least, that how I saw it until Blackreach. That one was pretty spectacular as well, though I have no idea whether it compares content-wise.

Kemel-Ze was much more interesting to me.

Kemel-Ze was much more interesting to me.
I agree, the thin, twisting corridors, and wide hallways connecting to long forgotten tombs and half-flooded chambers were far more interesting than that massive, empty chasm...

I almost died a few times in Kemel-Ze because I was so far from any safe place down in those deep parts. I was sure I was going to find a Balrog at some point...

I actually did die a few times. Went looking in a chest. Smack!

TF: whatever I did to get kicked on IRC, my apologies. hehe...

I forgot to ask, About how large are the Catacombs in Necrom? I'm too lazy to go digging in the files to check for myself... :thanks:

The kick was not serious which, based on the preceeding conversation, I figured you'd have got.

I forget the exact size of the catacombs, but it is large enough to be 10 interior claims.

The catacombs are quite impressive in size, IIRC. I will post a link to a blogpost of my section, should SE not be released by the 14th of April, which is when I have the post scheduled for. That will include 25 screenshots of mummies in a cave. The date mentioned is only the date that I have my blogpost scheduled for. I have no idea how far SE is.

Hayabusa, questioningly murdering Thrignar Fraxix can have results that are quite a kick.

Ahem, I know it wasn't serious now but I was about to nod off so at the time I was like "wha?" Woke up, thought about it, and loled. Oh well. I'm rambling on about something that...yeah. So if it's 10 interior claims, then many people should like the delving.

The catacombs are two or three floors deep (including the caves underneath), but they extend underneath the entirety of the city of Necrom, with two entrances: one in the temple administration building basemant, one in the Charnelworks (the lowered area at the entrance to the city). I believe the entire catacombs consists of 10 rather large interior cells.

Cathartis does get the credit for the original shell, splitting it up and posting it as claims, does he not? :P
Of course, I might misremember.

With cleaning and fixes completed on the remaining non-necrom claim, I am happy to report that both claims are now on to miscellaneous questing, the final stage before merging, alpha testing, and release. To add to the excitement, BC is apparantly more machine than man as he has already completed the 3 misc quests for necrom that he took to do, meaning only 2 are left, both of which are claimed. 5 misc quests are planned for the other claim, meaning a mere 7 misc quests are all that stand between us and the down hill slope that is merging and pre-release testing.

And to add to the mix; I'll be looking into the exteriors for a final touch up during this last stage. Stay tuned...

So what will release 3 add? maps 1 and 2 will come with it I assume? will anything be added to maps 1+2? ie quests, dungeons, NPC's?

Will any quests from map 3 send you to map 1? I love quests which send you on epic journeys across the map.

What we have planned tentatively is that Sacred East's release will bring you a new file, TR_Mainland, which will cut down on the number of old versions, conflicts, files you have to check in your mods list, etc. This file will include somewhat updated versions of Telvannis and Antediluvian Secrets, with the latter receiving several quests. Sacred East will also include miscellaneous quests for all the new land as well. I can't speak to any release-bridging content in new quests from Sacred East.

I remember Telvannis having some sort of mainquest involving House Telvanni, is that still in? And is there any overarching quest for AS?

I don't think we've removed any quests that were still in when Antediluvian Secrets was released. I don't think there will be any overly large faction quests for Antediluvian Secrets, but Fighters Guild quests and Imperial Cult quests will be included, at least. and quite possibly Thieves Guild quests (along with miscellaneous quests in settlements).

Any Imperial Archaeological Society quests?
I think they are more dialogue-based than traditional quests, but my memory is hazy on Antediluvian Secrets stuff; we've been focused on Sacred East for so long...
