[WIP] Tamriel Rebuilt - Sacred East

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:51 pm

Okay people, here are some more. (Please note the Ash Swamp will actually never look like this; It will be much more foggy and the like. I was too lazy to create a new region type for the screens, that's why the weather is always clear)

I know it's probably getting boring. Thus, stay tuned for some Necrom screenshots later today!

So, maybe this is the most stupid question ever but I have to ask it...

When do you think the project will be considerd complete?

According to their website:
It's done when it's done. And it will be no time soon; we strive for quality, not quantity, even though this project will hold plenty of both.

I suspect that it would take a few years for everything to actually be completed because the work is so finely detailed but I would be delighted to hear that it may be completed in a shorter period. I imagine that everything really depends on how many people are able to contribute to the project and how much time they can dedicate to it and this would probably be a fairly unpredictable variable.

Necrom is amazing! Can't wait to take a visit. It just stands so much out from the rest of the game, yet still holds the Morrowind charm.

Is it ok if I pretend that the city is made out of pure bone?

That does look amazing. The hard part will be populating it... Doesn't one Temple NPC talk about the continual stream of visitors winding their way in and out? It might be almost as full of the living as the dead.

On that subject, has anyone begun populating the city and do you guys have any idea how many heads you expect to end up with?

NPCing work is currently underway. Still, it might take a while as it will indeed be "the hard part" of the story.

Well, I believe it's important to take your time there since there's just so much potential for creativity when you are doing something like creating a population where all kinds of interesting characters and intriguing interrelationships might exist. Personally, I have a strong appreciation for the game's dialogue system.

I don't think there's any danger of us not taking our time. We couldn't rush something if we tried!

SWGs looks a little different, I've tried MGE XE before, but i didn't think it effected the sun unless you were using a sunshaft shader.

As people have said here, I just took the sunglare replacer from SWGs skies mod, v2.

SWGs looks a little different, I've tried MGE XE before, but i didn't think it effected the sun unless you were using a sunshaft shader.

Unfortunately, Hrnchamd made the sunshaft shader automatically turn off the glare, so it won't work with the latest MGEXE version. To fix this, I took the sunshaft shader from an older MGEXE version and replaced the new one with it. That way, you can have both sunshafts and beaming sunglare. Have fun!

Dear TR team! I'm working on a small texture replacer to beautify the Dunmer Saint shrines around Morrowind, like http://img718.imageshack.us/i/saints1.jpg/ and http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/198/saints2.jpg/. I'm using high res sources from the concept art books. Unfortunately, there are no available references for the original designs for Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil. I stumbled across Myzel's amazing fresco concepts on his deviantart page, and managed to make http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/215/saints3.jpg/ as a result. I was hoping to gain your permission to use those pieces of Myzels art in my final release?
