[WIP] Tamriel Rebuilt - Sacred East

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 8:11 am

There's no Telvanni settlements outside of Antediluvian Secrets and Telvannis. They're pretty much universally hated by everybody else so they keep to themselves. Sacred East has a very varied combination of various types of forest, swamps, coast and wilderness, with approximately 7 or so full settlements (perhaps more, I forget) and many more random collections of residential buildings and shacks, Indoril estates, dungeons and ruins etc. The only Great House present in Sacred East (besides perhaps a small number of every House in Necrom) is Indoril. Hope that answers your question :)

Very much so, I've long had a Temple character and so naturally looking forward to this release. Joining House Indoril will be the most awesome thing for him

Here ^^=> http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5329/snames2.jpg

Correct me if im being a fool but haven't TR decided to change what they release in each pack? As in, this next release wont be just map 3 will it?

Will it contain more than map 3, or is it just that from now on the land mass contained in the downloads will all be connected in 1 plug-in?

I think this thread on the TR forums will clarify your question. Or at the very least confuse you in new and interesting ways: http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22200

Ok cool, that's cleared things up. The map linked too shows the areas clearly.

Can't wait to have a walk around. Quests or not. :D

Unfortunately, keeping track of popular texture replacers and such isn't something we take into consideration. We pretty much only recommend MGE, MGEXE or the MCP (or what it's called) because of the world map fix, and the awesomeness of distant landscape. If people want to create texture replacers and similar stuff for TR they are most welcome to do so.

What about the popularity of MW overhauled?

'Blacklight' is the Imperial name for what the Redoran call 'Baan Malur', so it hasn't really been renamed. Imperials will most likely still refer to it as 'Blacklight', while Dunmer prefer their own names for cities. I don' think we have decided yet if we are going to rename 'Tear', I personally don't like 'Tyr Dres'.

Can you use this along with this?

Sure, why not?

The popularity of any mod is irrelevant. We are creating a vanilla game experience so that everyone can enjoy it. If we use a texture replacer or overhaul mod, only some people will be able to enjoy it.

Yes I agree to keep TR independent and close to the spirit of the vanilla game ;)
Just maybe later release an addon with some better version of your new models and textures?

Hey... we're lucky if we get all the low-poly versions of the models we need...

screens

Really nice looking Ash Swamp Scamp, but if you couldn't do the region justice there aren't many people that could. Out of interest, what's that glow on picture 5?

The ash swamps are located in the Velothi release, old map 5. It'll be a while before it's ready with quests and all...

Those Ash Swamps are certainly the creepiest environment in Morrowind.

Great to see people love the Ash Swamp! I do so, too. Hope I can give you more soon.

Map5 will be really bad-ass, what a shame it's going to take a while until we release it.

This looks incredible, as ever! I'm really excited for the next part. Honestly, this mod is an inspiration, it's amazing how so many people's work can come together so smoothly to create something so detailed and seamless.
