Install TR like any other mod. Just make sure to register the BSAs afterwards with BSAReg (shipped with TR).

Download the mod (Map 2 contains Map 1 and you do not need to download Map 1 seprately).
Unzip like any other mod, register .bsa using bsareg program that comes with the archive and check plugins in Data Files in launcher menu.

you need to read this - http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/106063-morrowind-mods-faq/ if you've never installed a mod before

If you're running Windows Vista or 7, BSAreg might not work correctly due to permissions. Run it as administrator from the file's right-click menu, and it should be able to make the necessary changes to the morrowind.ini to register TR_Data.bsa

If you get lots of error messages about missing meshes and the like, this thread on our forums http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20355 should be able to fix the problem.

It's a good size, not too big, not too small.

Its 64 megs on Nexus. All this information is readily available on TES Nexus or Planet Elder Scrolls, by the way. You would have gotten it much quicker yourself than you did waiting for us to answer.

Perhaps the following links will help you: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=7040 and http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/?p=download

EDIT: I will add that both these threads are found by searching Tamriel Rebuilt Download with either Yahoo or Google.

What a shame. We have a http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1178350-wip-tamriel-rebuilt-sacred-east/ on these forums which links you to a http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/, too. There, it says "downloads". I'm not entirely sure why you waste your time asking so many things while it is actually obvious that you could have found it in a few minutes at most. (Sorry if I sound harsh)

What exactly can't you get working? Are you unable to download the mod, or do you need help installing it?

Download mod, both the .esm and data files.

Put .esm into your morowind/data directory

unzip the TR data file and move the contents of the data folder into your morrowind/data directory, say yes to everything

register the .bsa, you may have to do this manually by adding the appropriate line to your morrowind.ini file

now download the maps .esp and put that into your morrowind/data directory

check the TR master file and the maps .esp under Data Files when you launch the game

?????????

profit

if this doesn't work then download the mod, print out a notarized copy validating that you downloaded it, then eat the paper

it should work then as well

Mitchell? If people here sound a bit testy, that may be because the information has been given - quite well I think - in the mod readme, on the website, and in the dedicated thread here. You are obviously having some problems understanding. Please, go to one of these sources and read through all the instructions. Then, when you need more questions answered, you should be able to give us a better idea of exactly what it is you need.

Or post in the download thread about your problems, or on the modders' website. Best places to get their attention, really.

This. Sorry if I can sound a bit harsh, but you really need to inform yourself a bit before you ask all those questions. And, google search is your friend and can be helpful as well.

holy mother of cheese give the guy some slack! he came here to the Morrowind Mod Forum for help - I thought thats what we did? So it might have been faster if he went to your forum/site or to the download page but what does it matter? The guy came here for help not to be met with a frosty "well you didnt look hard enough". SHeeeesh.

Yeah, I understand. Still, I don't like the habit of downloading a mod and then asking a question before reading the "readme". I will be quiet now ;)

Have fun with Tamriel Rebuilt, mitchell :tes:

Midge, we certainly help folks here. In fact this is by far the most helpful game forum I have ever seen. But you have to admit that it is a little beyond our scope when he is asking questions that can be answered by 10 seconds on Google. With all due respect he could not find Tamriel Rebuilt. This is not a small, obscure mod, and a download site is the 4th Google topic if you search for either "Tamriel Rebuilt" or "Tamriel Rebuilt download".

While there are a HUGE number of very helpful folks on the forum (you are included in that ya goof), using mods does take a certain amount of learning, responsibility, and competence. Nobody from here is expected to go a strangers house to fix a mod problem, right? So the mod user needs to know some basics before mods can even be loaded. And those basics are easy to find.

I see nothing wrong with what they did. They gave him the answers and some helpful links, and let him know that it would just be easier if he researched it by himself rather than asking people something that will take longer to get a response from.
