Tamriel Royale

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:39 am

Idea: You and countless others are thrown on an abandoned island/transported to a different plane of existence, and... forced to kill each other until only one remains. You can form alliances, try to escape, try to kill the hosts of the game, or just go totally bat [censored] crazy and go on a killing spree. But this will be far...far more intricate than a "battle royale". There will be a plot... but you will make it.
So... what do you think of this idea?

Sounds like a game that Sheogorath might host. It would certainly make for intense gameplay!

Good idea if the mechanics are worked out fairly. But i wont be joining. You abandon your RP's far to often for me to bother writing a sheet up.

I'm sick and tired of people saying that. For christ's sake a family member died! Besides, if this is such a problem I'll have someone else host it and I'll be the a co-host.

EDIT: And I only did that twice... out of the countless RPs I've made...

Hey, let's not argue about who left what when. Instead, let's try and keep on topic, aye? :hugs:

Bebop, the RP sounds like it has a plotline similar to the game "The Ship". I think there would have to be a few rules set out for that kind for RP. You would probably see some kind of argument happen when it entered PvP, or else you'd run into the ten-post battles where neither player wants their character to die... Not saying it will happen, but I have seen it happen in similar RP's before.

Would you have a system to prevent that sort of thing?

I think Boethia or Hircine would be better. Sheogorath would be a good candidate though. Imagine giving a barbarian a pair or chopsticks to fight with? He'd probably be in the relm of dementia within minutes.

Would have to be Hircine, definitely.

Do we get exploding Dwarven collars?

No, it would be Boethia. Hircine is a huntsman. This is similar to Boethias daedric quest, the tournament of the ten bloods. He makes one member of each race fight to his death for his entertainment mostly.

It COULD be Hircine if it was somehow a Hunter - Hunted scenario

That would be fun, one group runs and hides, the other gets to kill, then the roles swap

If its in any way related to Hircine... I'll have to drag out my half-bosmeri khajiit female monster who considers Lycanthropes to be inferior to her own hunting prowess... And no matter what side she is on, she is always a hunter. Beware... the prey might have teeth... and they're bigger than your's.

I dont care if my characters die.
Just as long as im not going through 14 characters per thread.

I agree with W00tz. As long as people have the common curtisy to know when to let their character die then this could be a cool idea. I usually don't have a problem with my characters dying, but it would be better to have something just in case someone does not agree that their character should die.

Hehe, this sounds like it could be fun.

This may be a terrible misjudgment, but I can't see much potential for a storyline that isn't a bit far fetched (at best). But I may be wrong, as I've never been in any of your RPs. But in any case there certainly is potential for an interesting time, and I've got no problems whatsoever with letting my characters die...it adds effect to the story.

Well maybe just let people know that their character most likely WILL die. As long as we have people participating who are OK with their char dying, then we should be fine.
