If Tamriel was a real place?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 9:06 pm

I would go there to visit, and if I liked it enough I would stay. It would be dangerous to go to though. Tamriel isn't known to be a peaceful place. In fact it's the opposite from my adventures through the series.

I would definitely go to the Summerset Isles. I want to see what the High Elves are all about. They would probably hate the fact that I'm there, but my thirst for knowledge will never be quenched. There are tons of arcane discoveries to be found there, and if they have all been found, I'd find them all absolutely fascinating.

As for worship, I tend to lean most towards Mara and Stendarr, but I would eventually pick them all up and worship them all during certain circumstances.

I'd work as something peaceful, probably a farmer or a merchant. I'm too beautiful to die! =P

*EDIT* Whoops. Going to add an additional question to the poll. Thanks for the votes and answers so far!

*EDIT* Ok I fixed it sorry guys!

I'd visit Summerset for the tourism and beaches. Worship Hermaues Mora for the naughty secrets.

Reveal it to the modern world and suggest it would make for an excellent opportunity to invade such a primitive civilization, force its people into trade with us, slowly gain land either through agreement or by force, drain all of it's resources for centuries to come, and if war were to break out would the use of nuclear warheads and other advanced methods of warfare convince them otherwise.

They're more tolerant than Dunmer. They also don't practice vicious xenophobia, and enslavement of other sapient races.

Point?

Hmm. I'd visit first, and probably want to live there.

I'd absolutely want to see Summerset. Especially the Isle of Artaeum! Valenwood next, then Skyrim.

I'd worship Auri-El, Kynareth and/or Julianos most likely.

I'd wanna start out living in a village doing odd jobs, and train my sword arm. Then, go and seek out the Mage Guild equivalent (ARTAEUM) and learn the ways of the Clever Craft

I honestly don't think nukes could take on magic.

Magic>Everything else

I would live there, Go to Morrowind (it's the least like our own world) and join the Mages Guild to learn magic.

I'm suprised you didn't say Skyrim. Thought you would go there to re-claim your mask.

Live there. Wouldn't think twice.

Cyrodill I suppose. To be honest, pretty much every other province is either frozen over, desolate dessert, hostile jungle, or ashen wasteland. Still, I'd like to see it all.

Assuming gods are real, hell yeah! Give me all them buffs! No daedra though, I like my skin on my body.

I actually picked guard. :P Figured it'd let me experience the city I'm in, maybe even travel a bit without throwing myself into constant danger.

Summerset, then go spend Eternity in Apocrypha, cant believe Miraak wanted to leave crazy Nords and their irrational hatred of books and magic. Although if Jyggalag has rebuilt his Great Library I would have a hard time deciding all events predicted before they happen or all the knowledge contained in Apocrypha? Hmm the knowledge in Apocrypha is probably more captivating.

Until an Immortal Daedric prince or multiple Immortal Daedric princes grow tired of your meddling with their play thing and make you their newest toy.

I want to get as far away from the modern nords as possible. And Valdar...

Seriously, I just want a vacation now. To wretched Sovngarde with the debauched Skyrim of today! All is lost I say! LOST! I just...

Just...

want to be free...

And find a nice Altmeri maiden... err... a necrophiliac Altmeri maiden...

I'd definitely visit, and probably live there.

I'd have to travel around to see what suited me. I chose High Rock from this list, but Hammerfell and Elsweyr both sound nice too. Skyrim's gorgeous but I dunno, when you're born and raised in Georgia you wonder if you can take that kind of cold for long.

I like both Mara and Dibella. Mara's my favorite, but Dibella has a lot of appeal too, what with the talk of "lewd acts and indecency". I like the sound of that.

An adventurer, definitely. Traveling around seeing what there is to see is the life for me.

In comparison to the Dunmer. I was not implying they were Colovians.

I'd live in Summerset ( The poll doesn't say what race you are ) hopefully as an Altmer. Become a Mage and work as some court wizard.

I would say they're more xenophobic, they just express it through isolationism.

I would be the eccentric living along the Coast between Morthal and Dawnstar with Anska. I would like to be able to use Magic and Shout, but I would likely end up being swarmed by Dwemer Automata in need of Mechanical repairs and maintenance.

I would have to worship Kyne, because of My Personal Theories about Her Role in Convention.

Definitely live there. Would try and visit Valenwood but would probably hear the call of the North and Skyrim so I'd end up there eventually. Jungles and northern mountains/forests are the two places I travel to regularly on this planet so I don't see why it would be different there.

Definitely adventurer at first, might try and retire in Skall Village after if they accept me and if I survive that long - which is very doubtful. No gods.
