Targeting HUD, is it still bugged?

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 8:28 am

Does anyone know if the Targeting HUD mod for the power armour helmet is still bugged?

I can't find any recent information about this bug so I don't really want to risk using it.

Edit: For people who don't know what the bug does, when you got the Targeting HUD mod equipped on a power armour helmet it basically makes some NPC's immediately hostile during certain quests or random encounters. This means you will miss certain dialogue/interaction with these NPC's.

In ref to the targetter which places a tracking diamond overa target, I try to avoid using the targeting HUD wether in power armor, scopes on weapons or in a Legendarry drop.

I learned this reading one of those threads you mentioned before in which a targeted enemy would attack the player.

I have no idea if that bug was ever fixed.

The bug in regards to the targeting hud causing NPC hostility has not been fixed.

It's still there but I've really only encountered the bug once in all the time I've been using it. I just went to a previous save and took the helm off for a moment until I was done interacting with those npcs.

Its still there. No word from Bethesda about fixing it, or even acknowledging its a problem. It will turn Kellogg, Virgil, and many more named NPC's hostile and ruin any chance of actually talking to them.

In some cases yes, others seems to have been fixed. In Saugus for example, Slag will skip his dialogue if you have targeting HUD and be hostile right away. While the upper bar in DC, where a scripted event would go bonkers with Targeting HUD on, seems to be fixed (at least for me) OR I might just have been lucky *shrug* But since there is no official word out on it (e.g. patch notes) I would go with the assumption that it is not fixed.

Shame they still haven't fixed it yet.. I got really screwed over on my first playthrough with a few quests and random encounters, which at first I didn't even know it was the Targeting HUD who caused this until I read something about it.

I guess Bethesda is too busy patching glitches like unlimited caps, resources etc. (god knows why), since this bug has been there since the beginning of the game and its still here..
