Tauriel build help

Post » Sat Jan 04, 2014 11:58 am

Instead of making Kath V5 I have decided to delete all my active characters and have a fresh start. Helgen cart ride included.

I want to play as Tauriel but I don't know what skills to use.

Skills I will use
Archery (Elven, hunting or longbow)
1 handed (Elven or Nordic dagger dual wield)
Light armour (going to use the restoration loop and reach AR cap with boots)
Alchemy (
Smithing (Only going to create then improve the stuff I need then no more smithing except for arrow crafting)
Enchanting (Only for the restoration loop)

Now for things I need help with
Speech (Yes or No)
Sneak (Yes or No)
magic (Yes or No. if Yes, what type(s) of magic)

I love Evangeline Lilly

I say go sneak and illusion, playing as a nightblade is pretty fun in skyrim.

The real question is, what are you going to name those uber-boots?

Calm spells only or other illusion spells?
Tauriel's Boots.

I say try it without the stealth and magic(or maybe use necromancy only). Using some straight dodging and counter attacking. Are you going to use shouts or do the MQ at all?

PS - I was hoping for a random boot name like 'curb stompers'

I didn't know who you were talking about at first, when I saw the trailer I called her Lasoleg and I didn't catch her name during the film. Since Maia are the only true wizards as the term is known in TES, I would say to forgo magic except Restoration (backed up by that slightly-spoilerific bit in the film) and Calm/Rally/Muffle, Fear and Fury don't seem very elf-like to me. You might be able to get away with a bit of Alteration. Shouting you could have free reign on if you see the whole Dragonborn thing as something bolted on to your roleplay, up to you. Also, Enchanting is very Tolkienian elf-like, they make all be best stuff. Also, when you do make the character, could you post the face sliders please? I would like to see.

Sneak, yes.

Speech, yes, no use for pointless bloodshed.

Magic, detailed above.

Necromancy? Paralysis spell? Do you guys even know who Tauriel is?

I say make her a ranger and follow Mr Moonlight's advice. I'm on the fence with Illusion, Muffle is okay and even Invisiblity can be explained (elven cloaks), but Frenzy is out of character and as for Calm, I didn't see her having a calming effect on enemies...

I don't know how she'd paralyze someone with a spell. A poison sounds more realistic. However, Detect Life can simulate acute elven sense.
