I do not know if it was confirmed that the Arena will be or maybe won't, but anyway, we DO got Tavern Brawl!

Tavern Brawls is A PERFECT replacement to the Arena! One on One fights! Ranks! Rewards!

I am almost sure that Tavern Brawl will be a faction! Like in The Witcher 2 when there was a secret fighting club!
The Tavern Brawls must be a Fighting Club!

You know with ranks like: Fighter, Warrior, Smasher, The Skull Crusher, King of the Ring and things like that!

And if I AM right and there will be a faction, it will be very disappointing if you must join the club in order to fight and not just beat back the racist bully that swearing you because you are a breton or something!

Tavern Brawls > Arena

There are no arenas in Skyrim, and tavern brawls won't make up for it, even if "fight club" events would be pretty cool

The Arena was repetitive and redundant. We might actually see some story and variety for once.

Guilds? Ranks? Substitute for the lack of Arenas? Hope so, but absurdly unlikely in mi modest opinion.

Not if you were running some of the awesome arena mods. I spent a lot of time revisiting the arena every time I was back in the Imperial City because of those mods. Man they made it fun!

I think this would make a really good prison sidequest, a little underground fist fighting arena that the guards bet on etc

if you had to mod the arena for oblivion why not do the same in skyrim?

Oh yeah, but what he offered was a side quest. You aren't obligated to do his mission to win the Arena.

I think tavern brawls aren't going to end pretty if my mage gets in one.Fire doesn't really mix well with wooden structures and large quantities of alcohol.

I really could care less about whether arenas made the cut or not, but I don't see tavern brawls matching up to what an arena could've been in Skyrim.

I am SURE that if the Tavern Brawls will be a serious thing, not like a mini game but like a really big thing! it will be much more better than the Arena!

Tavern brawls = mini version of the arena and more fun (also less serious which is awesome).
Duels = arena 1vs1 in almost any location with any NPC (can be to the death maybe).

As for an actual arena hey thats what mods are for.

Don't think that was the issue. I was under the impression that there might not be an Arena, and that the poster I responded to didn't like the Arena to begin with.

If there is an arena, it most certainly will be modded. But I guess I don't understand what your perspective is - or at least, I don't think I understand what you are asking in relation to my post.

You're a little late, OP. I'm pretty sure we ALL thought about this after an Oblivion-style arena was confirmed to be out.

I can see a Khajit doing well in those with his claws.

I confused as to how a tavern brawl is going to add some story to the game... I'll be over here waiting for some logical explanation if one exists.
