no tech Vs. The future.

I see a nano-suit. awesome.
I see a bow and arrow... I shake my head and wonder "WHY"!
If I take off the helmet of the crysis suit and I going to find "Jar Jar Binks"?
does he come complete with pseudo tribal african force shield, energy ball sling, and funky spear?
Please NO!

Listen I know it's a game. I know that is just supposed to be a fun bit of fiction.
I am not a troll. You have this nano-suit and no "NANO-WEAPONS".
what? you gonna bring a stone flint tomahawk to a mini-gun fight?

it's the future right? So what could the following mean to the world post 2020;
Nano-tech, rare examples of PICO tech, Augmented reality, Intelligent agents, The singularity, Meta-materials, 2-d materials, rydberg atom experiments, Super dense matter, quasi-crystals, einstien-bose condensates, quantum nonlocal signaling, thermionic materials, micro reactors, 3-d printing, organ cloning + transplant, 3-d tissue printing, genetic scanning and genetic augmentation, Carbon nano fiber sheet muscle (100 times stronger, 1000 times faster, tougher than diamond!), and so much more!

in short, I see absolutely ZERO benefit for having a bow (or even decade old military issue weapons) when compared to say an XM-25.
I never thought I would do this, but I quote Wesley snipes from the DEMOLITION MAN movie-
"So, this is the Future... Where are all the Ray-guns"?

Dude C2 is settled in 2023 and C3 is in 2047 it's not 3047. If you don't like the bow, DON'T USE IT you have many advanced weapons lying around, Gauss rifle, K-volt X-43 MIKE, alien weapon. And just how any of those things you named would be implemented in game ?

you can be certain, I won't use the bow. No matter how it's dressed up with bells and whistles it's still a bow. Bows go all the way back to the beginnings of recorded history and maybe further! the Barret m104 / m107 .50 cal sniper rifle is by leaps and bounds the superior weapon, in my opinion.
I will most certainly use the most advanced weaponry the game has to offer.
as a side note- there is a prediction that; in this decade computers will have the processing power of one human brain.
in 2047-2049 a single computer may have the processing power of the entire human population!

So, how much of what I mentioned might have an impact in 2047?
quite a bit is actually possible. See: next big future and future timeline websites.
Not saying that everything I mentioned *WILL* happen or is a viable physics/chemistry/biological technology, but there are some Very smart people working on related projects and experiments right now!

nice logo. did you see "H+" the series on youtube?

No I haven't see that series.
I know it will happen, in fact N2 packs a lot of those things that you have mentioned. But would they affect rest of the game ?

It's a goddamn videogame man... Maybe it's just me but hunting soldiers and aliens with a high-tech bow and suit = win.

Somebody did some calculations on the power of the bow if it implemented as much resistance and energy as a car suspension spring.
It had a tonne more kinetic energy than your barret did. Add that to the fact it is silent, fires from cloak, AND has a large array of interchangeable arrowheads, i think you are just being a diddle.
