Tech Tree

For those of you who may not no what a "tech tree" is, it is just a chain of all the technology you can research. I'm workin on a full tech tree for Castle Wars but I need some ideas for technologies. I have implemented things fairly well and can isolate unit types so any idea you have can probably be used. So technology ideas anyone? I already have armor, weapon, and hp upgrades. Oh and these upgrades are for units.

Research ideas...
Hm, could you improve the spell list of your caster units with upgrades? That would be pretty nice.
Also, maybe improve the inventory of your units (very few Health Potions for warriors, Mana Potions for casters, Buff Potions for anyone).
Another research could give your archers arrows with different kinds of debuffs and elemental effects (in small quantities so they change often).

I'll try to think of more later. Eheh, that's gonna be fun. :chaos:

Great ideas! Thanks logorouge. I like the arrows  and I can probably do potions although I wont be able to upgrade spells because if I use the AddSpell command, it adds it to that reference and everyone after him but RemoveSpell only removes it from one specific reference.

Oh! You just indirectly gave me an idea!
Since adding spells won't work, how about adding enchanted items? And just to prevent the unit from spamming only that spell, you could lower the item's charge capacity. Items with weak permanent enchantments could give you the equivalent of buffs. How does that sounds? :)

I think that just might work! I hope Morrowind's lame AI can cast spells from enchanted items though. I'll have to test it. I like the idea though.

EDIT: Oh I see, I thought you meant "On Use" enchantments only. Using permanent enchantments is a great idea! I can't believe I never though of that. I can do that so long as they equip the item.
