Technical Issue with Fallout 2

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 9:09 am

My participation in series conflict and discussion in the Fallout: New Vegas general section has led me to believe I should experience previous titles. I've purchased Fallout 2 for this reason but have encountered a problem, the colors are off, that weird 256 colors rainbow effect shows up here and there and it's really annoying, I've chalked this up to my computer running Windows 7 but was hoping if someone could tell me if there is a way to fix this? If it changes anything, I'm playing it through Steam.

Alrighty, I can solve this for you. Do you know how to access your steam common files?

In program files? Yes.

Alrighty, go into common, and find open Fallout 2, then find the ddraw Configuration settings, not the .dll.

No problemo. Contrary to popular belief, I do sometimes partake in being useful.
