Teen or elderly character

Usually young. My current oblivion character is also young, but looks old (24, but looks 40+).

I always move the age slider in oblivion as far to the left as possible. Moving it to the right is like turning up the ugly. hrbleh.

That's the good thing about Altmer, move the slider to as young as possible, you can still say they are 30 or 40 years old.

Well excuse me princess!!!

On a side note has anyone put the slider to as old as possible for a Khajiit? I did it a very long time ago but I forgot what it looked like.

Sure you should definitely be able to play characters of all ages. I personally tend to play 'younger' characters, well, middle-aged and under usually.

I have a level 50 Khajiit barbarian at the maximum age. I don't think Khajiit really change that much when altering the slider. An 80 year old seems to look exactly the same as a 30 year old... well to me anyway.

I usually make characters close to my own age (late twenties), but I have a plan for a grumpy Orc barbarian adventurer, forced out of retirement by the revelation that he is Dovahkiin. He'll probably be in his mid-to-late fifties. I might make a teenage character as well, but I don't know what the specifics of that one might be...

I think young advlt (about 18) should be the lowest age. A teen would be too young.

I make characters of all ages. I'm going to roleplay them all differently.
1. A middle aged experienced warrior
2. A young unexperienced thief/assassin
3. An old mage/wizard

The Argonian face colors are there to attract the opposite six in the right age. :)

In Oblivion I made an elderly Imperial man named Grigory Dracone, a former Imperial Legion soldier. He was about 75 and looked it, in the face anyway. He had the body of a 20 year old fitness instructor though.

But that face was great. Really ragged and old. I hope I can get the rest of the body to look as old in Skyrim.

In Fallout 3 and New Vegas the youngest people you could kill were 16. I think that's a bit better personally.

Yeah I thought something like that. I've played with the same Khajiit Character for over like a year or 2 and I remember making him super old but since it's been so long I kinda forgot and it never really struck me as looking ancient. I haven't made a new character since.

I remember my first character was a super old Imperial looking guy and after he contracted vampirism, he looked like Keith Richards after being left out in the sun.

Just curious, is that from lore?

Yeah the age slider for khajiit in oblivion was kinda off, also no matter how I adjusted it my khajiit would always have a luminous green mustache thing whiich pissed me of to no end. Btw does anyone know what the average lifespan of khajiit argonians and orcs is ?

In Skyrim, I'm going to create first a young Nord warrior... in his late 20s or early 30s.

For my second character, I'm going to play as a veeery old Bard, probably Breton, that will look more or less like Old Snake from MGS4.

I'm just hoping that the game recognizes your age. I hated how it seemed everyone thought you were a young adventurer ready for awesome adventure when you turned the age slider all the way to the right. I would like to see some of the people say "Hey there, old timer," if I was actually playing as an old person.

On a side note, I'm hoping they remove the slider and put in an actual number. It would definitely help people be able to see how long a specific race can usually live for, but I can live without it.

I used to be a fan of the über-cliché Gandalf-style wizard with the big freakin' beard and everything. Lately, not so much, but for Skyrim I'm certainly gonna make one of those characters again.

Yeah going for a typically younger character, going into maturing or beginning to be his prime age and physically best state. ( I'm rolling with dual swords/warrior type :toughninja: ) Plus hes learning to be a dovakhiin and that'll enter him into his heroic age/time thingamabob x3

I totally agree.
Everyone starts out somewhere.

If it was a old character.
The role-playing wouldn't be as nice.

How about a story that starts off with a 16 year old boy who finds out he is a Dragonborn?
