A Teensy Daggerfall Video Glitch

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 11:10 pm

I recently upgraded to Windows 7. I got Daggerfall running no sweat, but the glitch I run into isn't in gameplay, and it is in fact a very wimpy thing to complain about. But Daggerfall can only be played in fullscreen mode, and when I hit alt+enter to activate fullscreen, the game's colors go awry into a rainbow of pinks, purples, and yellows. Now, as I said it is foolish to complain about this, as it can be lived with. But I would like to at least see if a solution is available. Some changing of resolution perhaps.

Insight would be welcomed.

You might need to play with DosBox video scaler options and maybe lock the aspect ratio - I gave up on the full screen mode with my new 25in flatscreen, as Daggerfall looked very strange... (but no odd colors)

good luck!

go full screen before you load up Daggerfall. Now the problem still crops up during play, but a quit and relaunch will fix that. I don't know of a long term fix though.
