teeth,nails... details

the mouth!!!

such an important part of the face!!

but so often overlooked!!!

i think skyrim would benefit if characters had multiple selections of tongues and teeth!!! teeth because it would help personalize people... beggars might look actually poor if they only had a few rotting teeth!! elves would appear more cunning if their teeth were pointy. dremora might look more ferocious if they had mutilated black tongues with crude piercings on while less savage piercings could be applied to many races to promote a sense of culture.

the stuff that comes from the mouth is also a pretty big thing... what if wolves had blood pouring from their mouths after a meal or bitting a small chunk from you? what if daedra occasionally puffed a bit of fire? what if magical light was created from inside of an undead's head and escaped the mouth and the eyes? would you prefer if drain spells created a glowing lazer between target and user or if it appeared that the wraith that was using the spell appeared to use its mouth to svck your life force?

...and the ears!!!

piercing of ears adds a sense of culture... having wild and awesome ears creates personality and distinction to the races!!
and horns/spikes/ fins..
there needs to be an "extra" place for these! in oblivion it was very limited. dremora for instance had their horns as part of their hair and there was only 3 hairstyles for them meaning that they all looked the same.if dremora had their horns separate from their hair then at least nine variants would be made!!! the same thing for argonians!! argonains could have feathers, horns, fins and all sorts of interesting things customizable on their head!!

and the hands...

in first person we are going to look at our hands a lot... and in conversations people are going to make hand gestures a lot... hands should be important!!!
people need different hands... hands with missing fingers, rough looking hands for farmers, soft hands for nobles, skeletal hands for evil magicians, warty hands for beggars
and different nails!!! can i paint my nails? can i have dirty nails? can i have pointy nails? can i have claws?
(and this apply to feet... i want dirty hobbit feet :) )

and the eyes!!!
irises have different paterns, not just colours! some people have straight lines heading towards the pupil whist others (like me :) ) have LIGHTENING BOLTS in them!! but since this is a fantasy game we can exit the already loose chains of human iris patterns and do some stranger things.. (oh, give us a slider for eye colour, a selection for pattern please)
people can also have different eye colours for each eye.. or two different colours in the same eye..
some people have very shiney eyes that draw attention, whilst others do not
and i think it would be rather interesting if characters had reactive eyes... growing pupils depending on the amount of light available, occasional bloodshot, glowing, strange moving patterns in the iris whilst under a spell etc...

tl;dr but i dont think it would matter at all since you would rarely & barely notice for something which would take precius time away.

it actually looks like there's already something like this. The orc in the screenshot that was released has a broken tusk and a blind eye.

Redguards should get grillz.

So they can get over-long polished/bedazzled nails to complement their big hair. These pair well with the "OH NO YOU DIN'T" racial perk.

It's a small thing but I do hope that teeth have a fairly high resolution and have normals and a specular.

When talking to people your eyes generally look at their eyes or their mouth, logically it makes sense to have both fairly detailed and high resolution.

As long as it doesn't look like the robot version of Inspector Gadget's teeth, then I'm fine.
