First off, I'd like to say thanks for all your great work modding Oblivion! Secondly, I'm currently having a problem with TRAP. It had been working great for a while, but I just made some changes to my LO and it stoped working. The problem is, I didn't add anything that would conflict with it. Help!

Define "isn't working." What race are you playing, and what's going wrong? Are the powers not updating correctly?

Quick thing to try: move to the bottom of your load order (after Bashed Patch).

"Isin't working" means that none of the reces I've tried (argonian, breton, and redguard) have their spell (and maybe skills/attributes) from TRAP. I just tried moving it to the bottom, and it seemed to work, but Oblivion froze shortly after I chose my race.

EDIT: I just recently updated to the latest version of Bash, maybe they changed the way it handles races, and I need to add a bash tag(s)? (The only other thing I changed recently that affects races was to update to the newest version of trap. I'll go try an older version, see if that works)

EDIT2: Adding {{BASH:R.Attributes-F,R.Attributes-M,R.ChangeSpells,R.Skills}} seems to have resolved any conflict.Now to go dig up the BOSS thread.

I'm wondering about the compatibility between Realistic Leveling and Progress.

I use both and had some issues because progress wants to level you after 10 major skill ups by default, but RL doesn't. In progress ini you need to set the major skillup to 100, sorry I can't remember the exact line but its something like fMajorSkill = 100. it was discussed in progress thread though (and might have been the last one, not current one :shrug:)


Which I reckon means "set Progress.iLevelUpSkillCount".

Can't find anything about it in the latest tejon/ABO threads, though (and I've browsed the earlier ones as well).

Heh, I have no personal need for Bash so I'm still mostly ignorant of it. Should educate myself some time soon, since proper tags are getting more important these days.

set Progress.iLevelUpSkillCount

For pretty much any smooth leveling mod, this should be set high enough that Oblivion never tries to level you up on its own. My personal recommendation is 9999.

Though at present, I'm not sure it's an issue with anything but KCAS. nGCD modifies that value in real time to control the level-up progress bar; I'm pretty sure RL does the same, though it may depend on an .ini setting.

I think that's because you didn't load the CS through OBSE. To do that, make a shortcut of the Construction Set exe and add: ""\obse_loader.exe" -editor" in the "target" section under that shortcut's properties. being c:\program files\oblivion or whatever.

Ah, sorry! You have to make a shortcut to the obse_loader.exe not the CS exe. Apologies!

Make what kind of shortcut to the obse_loader. Does the shortcut to from the CS then point to the shortcut to the obse_loader.

Is there a place where this is explained already?

Shortcut should say:
Target:		I:\Games\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe -editorStart in:	I:\Games\Oblivion

Make sure you also have obse_editor_1.2.dll in that location. Its absence would have no effect on running the game, so maybe you cleaned it up?

Edit: Also make sure you have version 1.2 of the CS, if you didn't just recently download it.

Your mods have become a standard for me.
I've been thinking about merging them to open space for a few quests I wanted to play.
Is there any reason I should not merge these plugins toghether?

No reason at all. I've been debating whether or not to do that myself for all the Progress modules, next version... it seemed that multiple .esp's were more convenient than a big long .ini with enable/disable options; but that was before hitting the load cap was a common problem!

Hello

I play Race Balancing Project with nGCD and I have an issue involving attributes being heavily lowered (example: strenght 17, endurance 15, luck 30 and so on).
I know this is not properly an nGCD problem but RBP works flawlessy without nGCD as nGCD works flawlessy without RBP, so this is a conflict not stated in the RBP readme, nor in nGCD one.
I installed RBP first, then nGCD, I tweaked the ini in order to not let it manage health, magicka and magicka regen. I even disabled the "abilitiesobeyattributecap", the same for skills. I don't know what else I should do.

This is the third thread I try to ask help, I am really sorry to boring people with my problems, but I really don't know what to do.

What are your class skills, and what are the racial attributes you'd normally have with RBP? If you're a pure mage and belong to a race which has naturally low Strength and Endurance, those numbers could be about right... except Luck 30, that's a little odd. Do any of the RBP races or birthsigns give a Luck penalty?

For starters, go back to a default nGCD.ini -- AbilitiesObeyAttrCap has nothing to do with this, and I don't know if you've changed anything else; it's best to troubleshoot based on known values first.
