Mysticism is gone so dose that mean Telekinesis will be to??
I hope not, I love that spell...

no the mysticism spells will probably be mixed with other groups. telekinesis will probably be alteration

They have said that all Mysticism spells will be in their proper magic schools, the ones they should've been in originally. I want telekinesis to be able to make items as effective weapons that do some damage when I hit someone with them. I also want to pick up a large rock and be able to use it as a shield to block attack or catch arrows out of the air. But this time around Telekinesis needs to constantly drain your magicka and the heavier the object the faster it drains your magicka.

It could be. It could be designed to push back or pull forward enemies for example.

I haven't read all the articles but if some of the environment is destructible, it can be used to blow apart objects or remove obstructions. etc.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for that. Though there is a dragon shout that knocks your opponent back.

I want to be able to steal items from a cabinet from across the hall again.

Thats a really good idea, and would pretty awesome if implemented.

Well, we're trying to get people to care about it more, by making it useful sooo.....

Anyway back on topic, I'd like to be able to pickup objects and fling them at people for some damage. I'm not talking heavy damage that would make a bow and arrow obsolete, but moderate damage. Maybe the weight of the object can be a factor?

I want telekinesis to freak people out if they can't see you at the same time as a floating object.

Not enough emphasis was placed on a random object suddenly floating.

I'd rather not be able to pick up living things. I'd say it would be too much to try to focus the magic on if something is moving. I think you should be able to pick up corpses however and use them like I explained above.

Me too! hopefully with the inclusion of the "force blast" dragon shout the game will let us use some powerfull telekinesis too.

Why are you always trying to gimp magic? I've noticed that's a pattern with you. Don't you think at high levels that you should be able to do extraordinary Merlin stuff? Wouldn't that be more fun after hours and hours of work?

I'm not trying to gimp magic, I'm trying to keep it in a reasonable realm. I'm not sure why people like you always want to make it some god powers. Your not gods and making magic so overly powerful makes melee and ranged less appealing.

Not really, you could pick up enemies in Dark Messiah, but you still had rely heavily on melee.

That's Dark Messiah, picking up people with telekinesis in TES doesn't fit the lore and would take more power than your character would be able to muster. I would think people would be content with what I suggested and be able to pick up items and use them as weapons or shields. Oh look, two mages, I killed one and the other is about to blast me with magic, I pick up his dead friend's corpse and block the spell with it then fling the corpse at him to make him take moderate damage and knock him off balance/down and then you can proceed with fighting him, if not picking up a large rock with telekinesis and beating them to death with it before your magicka runs out. But picking up people....really? So I can fling them off cliffs or slam them against walls? That would be an instant kill, something I'd rather not have in a game, or else it will be another broken spell that needs to be removed like so many other things from Morrowind.

"Merlin stuff" would make playing a warrior stupid, and playing a mage overpowered. I'd like magic to be more fearsome than in Oblivion, but in the appropriate limits.

To be fair, all the plasmids were brutal :tongue: Telekinesis was one of my favorites. But I think the fire plasmid is my favorite.

Telekinesis wasn't the most powerful, but it was hilarious. I used to throw Big Daddies to the lesser enemies. Instant kill xD

Mods made telekineses so freaking awesome in Oblivion. Nothing like pushing or pulling people.


It barely does damage tho, mostly for CC. Supreme magicka update ftw.

I would like that when you have maxed out Alteration or whatever school telekinesis is in you would be able to design a spell that allows you to pick up enemies....and drop them from 1000 feet in the air.
