Teleport when aiming down sights ?

Post » Fri Dec 04, 2015 3:26 pm

So when proceeding to aim at a ghoul with my .44 I teleported a rather large distance and ended up on a loading screen that then placed me on the inside of a building that I then could see through the walls I got out by walking through said invisible walls and continued on my journey back to where I had just been. has anyone else just randomly teleported towards the direction they were aiming, or am I alone with this? i'm on Xbox one

I had that happen twice without the wall thing...first time wasn't sure, but the second time I aimed down a few flights of stairs, and was teleported there..wish I knew what causes it so I could take advantage of it :)

Saw that on CAD a while ago, it was quite funny to look at

I haven't encounter teleport aiming myself but I encountered a teleporting radscopian (not dive underground) he keep teleport randomly in front of me for few second then decide to suicide by teleport to sky and fall to death. There is something really wrong with the engine

I wasn't aiming but I came out of Goodneighbour and then teleported right into the middle of the Gunner checkpoint up the road.

I'm on PC, and I have experienced this multiple times. The distances and direction have been random though, not just in the direction that I was facing, and I can't remember if I was aiming down the sights during any of them. The longest teleport for me was from the Castle to above the Four Leaf fishpacking plant, and luckily I was wearing power armour or I would've cratered. I've also had the occasional micro teleport, which has the same effect as lag in online games, just teleporting me a few steps back.

It has happened to me a couple of times when switching cameras, I go into first person mode and suddenly I'm like 10 meters head.

On Xbox one. Had this happen to me at least six times today. Aiming down the sights definitely causes it. I usually teleport a random short distance the direction I'm walking. Lucky for me 4/6 times it saved my butt. So it's helped more than hurt me.

Also happened to me the other day, aiming down "long range nightvision scope" on a .50 sniper rifle. (the reason why I mentioned which scope specifically is just to underline the possibility that seemingly the case is not dependant on specific scopes and / or weapons, but seems to happen on ANY scoped weapon, with any variety of scopes)

It may just be any weapon that you can aim with, as two of my teleports were with a double barrel shotgun and gauss rifle, both with iron sights. The "rubber banding" I mentioned in my last post killed me once. I stepped into a doorway and went to throw a grenade when it teleported me back a bit... next thing I knew, I threw a grenade at the wall in front of me. I giggled a little bit.

I've had it happen once. I was aiming through a scoped (medium scope, IIRC) sniper rifle, got teleported upward quite a distance as I fell for a good 10 seconds or so before going splat. I believe this was outside Olivia, but could be mistaken.

Last night, I was running forward just traveling across country, when i decided to have a closer look at something in front of me. I raised my scoped hunting rifle to take a peek (without stopping) and suddenly I was a couple of hundred feet in the air above where I had been. Naturally, I fell to my death in short order... Glad I wasn't playing "Dead is Dead", eh? :)
