Teleportation disabled?

Post » Thu Mar 25, 2010 5:19 pm

So I installed and started up Morrowind for the nth time again, and I decided to check out http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8153 which seemed pretty cool and got good comments. Now the problem is, it has disabled ALL forms of teleportation. DI and AI spells/scrolls don't work, and everywhere I go it gives me the message that "Teleportation has been disabled here". I'm using the latest version of MGE so I know it's not that I don't have MWSE. I uninstalled the mod and I still get the message too, which is a bigger problem (same save file of course). I even tried going into a copy of that save file and removing the scripts and global variables to clean the save but it still doesn't seem to be working. Here is my load order list, maybe there's a conflict I'm unaware of:

Wow... I didn't realize fixing it would be that simple. Thanks!

Really sorry about that, I forgot to put that in the readme for uninstalling. :blush:

I'm not sure why interventions wouldn't work with my mod installed - you're right that it's definitely not your MGE version (that would give an error at startup). I'm not familiar with some of the mods in your load list - would any of them disable teleporting?

Also - if you get that message with my mod installed but teleporting works anyway, it means something modifies the GMST sTeleportDisabled (my mod replaces it with an empty string). Loading my teleport mod later would fix that.

If you can give me some more info I'll try to fix the issue, I just can't tell what the problem is from what you've said so far.

Basically I couldn't use teleport spells. The animation would play and either 1: Nothing would happen (with your mod installed) or 2: I'd get the error message (mod uninstalled). The teleport control spell didn't seem to do jack either. I don't think any of those mods would interfere with yours though, they don't mess with teleportation settings as far as I know.

Can't add much to the teleportation question but I did notice:
GameFile20=AtmosphericSoundEffects-3.0-Tribunal.esp
GameFile21=AtmosphericSoundEffects-3.0.esp
You only need to load "GameFile20=AtmosphericSoundEffects-3.0-Tribunal.esp", not both of these

GameFile32=Distant Land Fix for MGE.esp
As you say you're using the latest version of MGE you don't need to load this (MGE included the functionality of this plugin in version 3.6.0)

Did any files starting with "mel_tpp" appear in your Data Files\MWSE directory? If so, it might help to know what got written to them.

If you would be willing to run the debug version, that would be great - it's just the same only it writes debug messages to the mwse-mge log file, so if the default doesn't work I guess this won't either, but it might tell me what's going wrong.

PS Sorry I'm being a bit sluggish replying atm, I'm getting married in a few days so things are a bit hectic around here atm ;)

I disabled the distand land fix already, it was giving me troubles with fogging up certain interiors. I'll disable the other ASE mod too thanks.

I'll try out the debug version and see what happens. Congrats on getting married too!

:celebration: Enjoy it! I was a mate's best man a couple of months ago (God knows why he picked me...) and I know how hectic all the arranging can be. Relax and revel in it...
