Tell me a bedtime story.

Post » Mon Jun 21, 2010 2:38 am

So lets say your playing TES 18 in your virtual reality simulator and your little Dark Dlf daughter requests a bedtime story.

Whats the best story to tell? The Dwemer always interest me but are a bit complex and not very fairytale like. Dark Brotherhood would give her nightmares.

The Real Barenzia could be nice if you get all that dirty smut out of it.

I'd link you to Tiber Septim's favorite bedtime story and the Dwemeri kids' rhyme, but for some odd reason, TIL is spazzin' on me...

Not too this is lore though...

Thats....an interesting bed time story? I guess it makes sense if some jester was acting it out. lol

hokers? hokerS? *Covers little 6 year old dark elf girls ears*

Maybe tell of the dark elf imperial empress (her name escapes me) but instead of telling my daughter that she died in a skirmish, I would say "AND SHE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH THE UNICORNS THE END."

The Remanada would be a great story. It doesn't make sense in a way a child would appreciate. Just, you know, skip the part where the king... err...
Spoiler
read the damn story!

With TIL down, I couldn't be bothered going to the UESP and checking their suitability, but I recall Marobar Sul's Tales of the Dwemer were nice, straightforward fables.

Paw? Remanada? I'm not sure the colour of the archaic language would really be appreciated.

Neither would the jacking off. But is sounds so much like a fairy tale already that it should be rewritten. The High Rock version where Hrol is Jaques Herouleau and chases Alessia through a cornfield.

And I just read the Water-Getting girl again. Oh Em Gee, beautiful. Nedes, I love you and will carry my anti-Out-of-Atmora campaign to the (inaccurate) annals of UESP in cleansing book-burning flame.

There are some good stories here, from Loranna's RP originally: http://lorannarp.pbwiki.com/List+of+Character+Tales+and+Myths

Loranna wrote this one: http://lorannarp.pbwiki.com/Character+Myths+and+Tales+-+Trollkin

Not a children's story, but I was amazed at some of Allerleirauh's stories also. Her character Dragon was a Void Ranger who in this story shows that he had the ability to change timelines: http://lorannarp.pbwiki.com/Character+Myths+and+Tales+-+Dragon
