I was wondering how, historically, the telvanni liked the Imperial army and their control?

Well read what they say about them Ingame ,but in short no,but they use western mercenaries.

Oh and:

The Telvanni don't like anyone mucking with their studies, and outright despise the Imperial chartered Mages Guild trying to monoplize magical study. Almost all of Dunmeri society save Hlaalu dislike Imperial control, though some have a certain amount of respect, like between House Redoran and the Imperial Legion.

As to the question, no. House Telvanni dislikes all Imperial institutions in Morrowind, which includes the Legion, the Imperial Cult, and all that good stuff, but there's nobody Telvanni actually likes either. They're a solitary lot.
