Hey what do you guys thing about this build
Name: Templar
Main Skills:
Heavy Armor
One Handed
Restoration
Minor Skills:
Enchanting
Alchemy
Speech
Smithing

I was thinking maybe having a healing spell or sun fire spell in my left hand and dawnbreaker in my right I will keep dawnbreaker for the whole game by smithing it better when it feels to weak :D and I will smith my own Dragonbone heavy armor I will only do good deeds and quests so no thieves guild,DB, ect.

Don't think the Op will need a shield with that set of skills, looks quite balanced without one I think. Nice build, go for it.

You can still use a shield and have it hotkeyed or favorited for when you do not need restoration. Breton is by far the best race statistics wise (50% magic resistance is completely OP).

I believe imperials have the best starting bonuses for that build. For restoration, one handed, and heavy armor

The starting bonuses mean nothing, after all of 3 levels they are completely pointless. IF you are looking at a race for stats alone, the racial abilities and passives are the only important thing to look at.

Ok I'm going to hotkey spellbreaker but I'm not gonna put perks in block unless I have nothing to spend my perks on so I will take it as a minor skill

Since the Templar armor in Morrowind is Imperial, I would choose Imperial for playing a Templar. Course any race would work ... this is Skyrim after all.

My Nord is a Teutonic knight style Templar build.

He wears full ebony armor as his knights armor.

I never played Oblivion so I wouldn't know how to build a character based on classes. Skyrim was my first TES game and I just play based on racial bonus and standing stones. I would consider my player a warrior who uses both heavy and light armor, block, one-handed, archery and of course smithing. I'm not much of a mage but i do use restoration, enchanting, and alteration to some degree. My speech, lockpicking and sneaking skills are reasonable too.

Shields are for babies... 100% Restoration reduction and you can charge in screaming while you hack'n'heal until your fingers give out, as undeads explode around you. :P
