I am just playing around at the moment as i am using what information i have. I need some advice i have got a shortlist of abilities which i have chosen which i feel would be most useful in ESO. I am going for a mix of DD/aoe/CC using a bow and destruction staff. Here is my shortlist of abilities if anyone can help me whittle it down to ten and if i am missing anything you think may help etc please say. i am still undecided on my ultimates to.

Piercing javelin

sun shield

backlash

sun fire

eclipse

Solar flare

snipe. = bow

arrow spray = bow

poison arrow = bow

Destructive touch = stave

impulse = stave

wall of elements = stave

Any help would be great

Sun Shield prevents you from regenerating Magicka, which may be something to think about if you find yourself relying heavily on spells. I don't like Backlash because of its 1.5 second cast time, which in PvP feels like forever. Ditto Solar Flare.

I can't say anything about bow or Destruction staff skills as I didn't try either of them.

I could exhange the shield for focused charge, backlash would be good opener from stealth i think, their is also the possiblity of blinding light. as for solar flar it actually morphs into an instant attack. But i could also take some more of the bow abilities if i decide against the shield and focused charge for example. focused charge seems like a gap closer and with me being Ranged i don't think that would fit in really.

The instant version of Solar Flare also turns it into a PbAoE, hardly something you want for ranged DPS. Blinding Blight is again PbAoE and is a coin toss, making it questionable as a defensive skill.

IMO there are better skills to take than Blacklash if all you're using it is for a 6 second damage boost at the beginning of a duel.
