Temple of Miraak problems

Post » Fri Jul 19, 2013 10:34 pm

Hey, im new to this game and love it. I try to get through all the missions asap, so that might be the problem, but i dont know.

Problem:
Im heading through the temple with Frea and I am stuck at the spot where you have tp defeat 2 Undead enemies (starts with a d but i forgot the name) and 2 Culinist. I keep on dying and dying and dying. Frea is not that much help because she dies all the time just like me. Im not even getting close to killing the more powerful Undead enemy. 1 power hit with my Dwarven Greatsword only does like 15% or 20% damage to him and 1 hit with his sword does like 60% damage to me. Plus the Culinist fire spell makes it very tough tp escape even when i use the whirlwind dragon shout to speed me ahead. And 1 power hit with my Dwarven sword takes like 50% of my stamina. My fire spell literally does 0 damage to both the Undead enemies and the Culinist. AND the Culinist fire spell destroys me.

Should i just run through it? (if i can) or should I let Frea do all the dirty work and let her die for me?

Any tips or ideas?

Thanks

Return to Skyrim and level up until you are at least level 30 and actually prepared. You are not prepared for Solstheim.

Tip: create Beef Stew at any cooking pot.
It will keep your stamina recharging (for a fairly long time).
Venison Stew is very useful as well...

Friend you're fighting Draugr and Dragon Cultists.
But you won't get far at early levels, with low health and stamina and a Dwarven sword.
You need Fire and Magic resistance, and some experience. Plus 6 or 8 Potions of Ultimate Healing.

What are you doing on Solstheim?
Oh well as long as you're there, don't stand in one place - move, move, move and spin and slide.

Using a shield can kinda give you bad habits... and two-hand swords are slow and require a lot of stamina.
Try a good sword in one hand and Flames with the other (shield) hand.
This will make you not so cocky, a little bit afraid, and you won't let anything get too near you (which is an important skill).

Mage types need to be very light on their feet - but if you're tough AND light on your feet, you can whittle your enemies health down.
It'll take some time. Be patient; let it take time.
RUN when required! Run behind/around something. Conjure a Flame Atronach, or at least a Familiar...
Don't forget the Beef Stew. Good luck (and for goodness sake, keep Frea alive - it's your duty).

Stick to Skyrim first. Just avoid Solstheim until you are level 25 and higher.

My loyal cultists are powerful, they make me proud.

Lower the difficulty.
