Temporary / Sporadic Frame Rate Drops

Post » Wed Feb 27, 2013 4:53 pm

Hi Everyone,

First of all, love the game from what I have played. I am a huge fan of everything Crytek. I simply have one issue ...I recieve unbearable frame rote drops that are periodic in nature, but have severely hindered my ability to keep playing.

Before you ask, I DO have a good system, and I HAVE done several troubleshooting options. Here are my system specs:

8GB Memory
128 SSD
AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3.2 GHz)
Radeon HD6850

I tried lowering all of the settings, disabling V-Sync, disabling MSAA, and so on and so forth. I even installed the beta patch for my gfx card (13.2).

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really would like to proceed with the game.

Cheers!

Thanks for the quick response!

One thing I did notice is that my CPU does, in fact, have large spikes during my frame drops. I tracked it in Task Manager and noticed that my CPU would hover between 60-70%, then when frame rate drops, I alt-tabbed and CPU would be 95+.
