Tenpenny Tower quest

I wanted to save the humans residents this time round -- but is there a way where I can do so and also get the ghoul mask? :whisper:

No, even if you try to negotiate for the ghouls and humans to coexist in the Tower together, the humans will all be dead when you leave and come back.

You have to convince the residents to let the ghouls move in you still get the ghoul mask and youve saved the humans.

What about if you negotiate for the ghouls and humans to live together, get the ghoul mask, then kill Roy Phillips & co before they have a chance to move in. I haven't tried it, but it seems plausible. Would that work? Or does the same thing still happen?

PS - dont kill dear Bessie, though. The rest are ok, but not her :)

It won't work. The death of the human residents are scriptet, so they will die, even if the ghouls are dead.

It's scary. :cold:

Sick and wrong, I know. The human characters are bigoted buttbrains, but they don't deserve to be slaughtered. And Roy Phillips is a genocidal scumsvcker. I usually just skip this quest and figure that the ghouls and humans will eventually have it out on their own.

Okay so I decided to just go in shooting everybody inside of Tenpenny Tower. I wanted to "Vacate it" but it won't let me. Who do I all have to kill? I killed Gustavo and Tenpenny and all of the guards I could find but it won't update the quest. What did I do wrong and is there anyway to avoid bad karma at this point?

Oops, sorry. I misread your post. (Bad Ghouls, trying to do two things at once!)
You must have missed a guard somewhere. Check behind the building where the target practice dummies are.

I checked about 10 times everywhere. I may have screwed up. I started killing all the guards before the quest was activated, including Tenpenny. So I'm just going to have to destroy them... ghoul style. :shifty:

I wonder if the place will remain empty now, or whether the ghouls move in?

Keep us updated on what happens, this is interesting! :celebration:

Sorry, but that's not how it works. The humans will all be killed by the ghouls after you leave. The only way to save the humans is to either kill Roy and his gang or not do the quest.

The ghouls ended up moving in. They didn't have anybody to kill really. They just destroyed the place and I got to loot it. Still fun though :D

This is true. The humans will die unless you don't do the quest or murder Roy. But really, whats the fun in that? :P

This is my least favourite quest as there isn't really a good end to it.
If you kill the ghouls you get hit with bad Karma, if you help them attack TT then you get bad karma and all the humans die, if you help them get in you get good karma but they kill the humans anyway and if you decide to kill them for doing so then you still get hit with bad karma.

This was the only quest that I've done so far and didn't care about karma.

Its the best quest to use Sandman perk. I silently killed every resident (that has a sleep package) and then popped all the guards. When Roy brought the ghouls in they all just stood around. Then I came back in a few days and did it again to the ghouls (new residents).

BTW: Anbody notice that every NPC in TP takes turns sleeping with Susan Lancaster and that she changes into a nighty in the lobby when she's getting ready for bed?

I got the vacated ten penny towers and the ghoul mask in this manner. Haven't tried repeating it though.

Convince everyone the ghouls can move in.

Tell Roy.

roy give you mask

Quest is completed.

Now, before roy and M. masters leave the vicinty, reverse pick pocket an explosive, make sure the explosion kills roy and masters at the same time (this is tricky). Now you have ten penny all to yourself :)

No having your cake and eating it I'm afraid. I don't like it as I love the ghoul mask but hate having to be implicated in the human's deaths (even if they are snobby idiots). Although tbh, I can't imagine letting them live and putting up with their arrogance every time I went there to trade.

yes, noticed it then I enslaved her, she was all over the place making it harder. A shame for the males in the tower that she is gone :)
Ended up killing the ghouls, as I use followers the mask is pretty useless, I was also afraid that I would lose the traders in the tower if I let the ghouls take over but as I read here they simply get replaced by ghoul traders.

Interesting quest in that it's no good solutions except not doing it.

If you're wearing the mask the ferals won't attack your companions either. The run I did that me and Jericho walked through the DC tunnels right by dozens of them and they don't do a thing.

I basically convinced everyone to let the ghouls in (in my current playthrough), but I did it after I killed Tenpenny, and his guards. I convinced the ones that I could, the ones that didn't want the ghouls in I basically told them "too bad" (speech challenge) and then when they complained I told them to take a hike. I actually got some good karma for doing this specially since all the guards and Tenpenny dropped fingers.

This is my least favorite quest in all of the FO franchise. It's just flawed in so many ways.
