What are your opinion on the Magic Missile wand?

I love that thing. Sadly it's really expensive to use

Holy crap, with the ball o hurt I killed the worm boss in like 2 mins. VERY easy.

And I only used 6 potions.

On the other hand, I can't handle hell. =/ Never manage to mine anything. (hell is the last layer yeah?)

EDIT: War Axe of the Night, The Breaker - are they worth it? I've got spare demonite bars now. I've already got a full set of shadowscale armour.
EDIT2: Well I made both. Now I have loads of shadow scales and demonite ore. I have no idea what to do with it. That means there's no more point in killing the worm boss.

I summoned the worm boss by mistake. [censored] BAND OF STARPOWER. Every shadow orb I destroy contains one. I never get the cool rewards from boss fights. :(

Oh wait I got this Vilethorn thing.

I prefer the Hamaxe myself, takes up one less inventory slot because you don't need both the hammer and axe's. Looking forward to crafting my Molten Hamaxe as soon as I get somewhere in Hell.

My first hamaxe!

I wish I could just buy obsidian. So boring to make.

EDIT: I'm going to try and take on the OLD MAN.

THE BLOOD MOON IS RISING.

Goddammit. I'll have to wait for another night.

EDIT: That was.....FRIGGIN easy. 2 mins 30 seconds to kill him. 8 potions.

EDIT2: I'm practically invincible now. I've found most unique items. No knockback, double jump, accelerating speed + armour which increases melee speed + that blue fast sword and that flame flail makes me pretty much a GOD.

Oh and IMO magic weapons svck....they're not worth it. Same for guns (except for that star cannon).

I failed my first 2 attempts at the eye of Cthulhu, decided to go back underground and managed to find 3 heart crystals in a timespan of about 5 minutes. Now having 300 hp I went back to the mountain where I wanted to fight the eye again. Got a message about being watched, waited a little while but nothing happened so I summoned the eye....

Surprisingly I managed to kill one of the eyes (focusing all my attacks on that one to prevent both of the eyes transforming at the same time) and bring the other one down to about 500 hp before dawn chased it away.

Hmmm the boss fights are too easy (yeah I complained about them at first, but after killing the Old Man in 2.5 minutes....I retract that statement).

I've only got the Jungle and Floating Islands left to explore.

Floating islands are awesome, IF you can find them. Took me a few different worlds, but I found 2 of them and got a red balloon, a lucky horseshoe, and copper brick blocks with silver & gold walls.

I'm hoping they'll patch in some new bosses at some point: that will make the game really worth playing. I thought it would be cool if there was a boss hidden somewhere in hell, the underground jungle and the dungeon guarding some cool loot. And some dragons would be nice too.

@lego: Yeah I've found my first floating island (I found a lucky horseshoe). So the Jungle is all I have left.

I've got a small video coming up, just showing my house and a link to a floating island.

What's the most mana you can have?

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdIYUT4oxYk

Nothing fancy, but I like that I managed to keep everything close together. I had some extra rooms because some NPCs wouldn't move into the original ones for some reason.

EDIT: For some reason it's slow. Just move the playback bar.

I'm about to pick this up off of Steam. Can someone give me a basic rundown of this? Looks like a 2D Minecraft. Says dig, Fight Explore Build, Sandbox, Free content updates. Sounds like it's right up my alley.

Easiest way to get Obsidian.

1. Find a large body of water on the surface.

2. Dig a drain into hell. If there are open caverns make sure you exit your drain (don't let any water out) and build a tunnel for the water to go into.

3. continue down the drain, collecting any other water you see.

4. When you get to hell, release the drain.

5. Obsidian. Obsidian everywhere.

I did this yesterday and I flooded hell. Turns out that if there is too much water running at once, it will never run out. I got about 750 pieces of obsidian in just a few minutes.

Now the real challenge is mining it without getting bored. ;)

EDIT: Scrap the above. I thought I was in the Minecraft thread!
So..hum..yeah...Terraria and stuff. :bolt:

I will try this.
